Thumbs up Rinster - Tropical Oasis (Original Mix) - [Summer Dance/Trance] *Full 320Kbps*

hey guys,

Ive been in such a good mood lately, and this tune really reflects my mood. I wanted to create some new and original, and came up with this. filled with water, dolphin's & tropical bird sounds. this tune really has summery feel. while at the same time it has a real groovy/bouncy bass that keeps you going. So far this tune has been the favorite tune of my friends. and i'm quite proud about it i must say. feedback would be totally cool!!

thanks for the listen and enjoy!!

The picture you posted reminds of those weeks I spent on the beach in Spain, listening to trance, talking to gorgeous girls, and ofcourse meeting people from the netherlands EVERYWHERE.
While sitting there in sun, drinking my cocktail, feeling the summerbreeze flowing over the beach..
the sun steadily begins to se.. *gets shot in the head*

Oh no wait. that was the generic disturbing sound when you finished a download.

First of all, I had to turn down my volume all the way, thats because I render my own tracks at a rediculously low volume.

The track has a very nice groove RIGHT from the start, something I still find hard to achieve, seem never to program some great percs.

You progressed alot I have to say mate, a very nice bass sound, a deep full kick. (the combination of both makes it sound a tad 2000 though). (omfg, i feel like a fashiondesigner.. OMG THATS SOO 2007)

VoICES voices...

nice fx on 2:31, well done! a fine lead comes in.. which imo could be turned up to stand out a little bit more from the kick/bass.

Another paddy/lead comes in creating a nice flow, deep kick and bass still pounding through it.. shamefully.

At first you seem to get everything right with the space you create in the track, but on the second half everything seems "pushed" together, like there's a brickwall compressor on it..

The melody is nice, soothing, real summer style, and you can definitly hear you put a TON of effort in this track. Plus I can even hear your enthousiasm, which is great

Keep up the great stuff mate!

outstanding track. very innovative and appealing right from the start, big sounding but not overcrowded, sounds like its much work put down with all the atmosphere. definately get my mind on some tropical fantasies here.

I like the overall idea of this track but the overall sound is very crunchy. I'm not sure if your'e runnin distortion plugins or if you compressed it too heavily on the main channel. I liked it though very soothing and very chill. Honestly if you don't mind i'd like to try my hand at remixing it. send me a PM if interested

wel there is no compressor on just that part.. i kind of wanted it that way to keep the calmness of the track aswell, so it wouldnt lose it that much..

thanks for the feedback mate, zeer gewaardeerd!!

there is nothing wrong with the compression, its probably the slight volume boost i gave it. glad you like it though!

^^ I agree with all of this, the track definitely sounds a bit crammed and the sounds are definitely competing with each other, which is a shame cos some of them are really nice sounds! Some mastering should fix this though ... Definitely a lot of effort in this tune, and the melody has some potential if you give the lead synth a little more depth and work with the levelling

thanks for the reply man, i can see your point about the sounds competing with each other, but you really have to listen closely to hear that, otherwise it would go by without noticing it.. more depth in the lead would be a good idea, but i dont want to put to much more in the track otherwise it will lose the calmness a bit. ill look into it, thanks mate.

Yeah actually if you're listening to it through speakers you don't notice the competing as much - but i also listened to it through some decent dj monitor headphones and that's when it was quite obvious. But anyway yeah look into it, with some editing this track can work

anybody else?

Nice track and I agree with the others for the most.

The track does sound very busy though and you do get kind of a cramped feel for everything.

I do have any issue with something that no one else has picked up on, perhaps I'm the only freak who hears it. You have issues with the bassline and the backing 'Pad' before the break down.
Giving it a listen, it's actually a chord change that sounds really gastly. It's one of the inbetween notes that only lasts for a short period but it's out of key.

The track itself has been crushed to death by either compression or limiting, either that or it's clipping, can't tell so easily due to bad headphones.

Mix down is also a bit muddy, a bit too much lower mid from the bass makes it loose some of it's sheen.

That said, it may seem like I hate the track and it's actually totally the opposite. I feel that your productions are really coming on and like what you are starting to put together.

Good job in terms of ideas and composition.

Cheers

ill have a look at that key you mentioned that is out of key.. really havent noticed anything myself.. haha crushed to death.. i think its the bad earphones your listening with, nearly sure. give it a proper listen on a good pair of headphones/speakers. glad you like it though, but really give it a listen on a proper system. and then let me know what you think.

Nice track.

I think the mixdown sounds kind of distorted or muddy, and I'm not sure if I like the spoken word sample. You have some nice melodic content here, though, and I liked the use of the birds sample near the end.

That voice that says oasis is annoying. It doesnt fit in that great and the tune is much better without it. As others have said the mix is a little muddy you'll have to do some eqing on some of the sounds.

speaking about annoying voice samples.. did you make this tune? http://tranceaddict.com/forums/show...1&forumid=74&s=

LOL.

Feedback

I like it. It's pretty good.

But if this were my track I would do the following:

1) Play a wider range of notes on the bassline to follow the lead synth melody. Sometimes, half the time it's dissonant and out of tune with each other. Maybe that's just the style you're going for. But I don't think uplifting melodic Trance is supposed to be dissonant.

2) More variety. Very repetitive. Make better use of breakdowns and buildups to build more anticipation.

Check out my thread and leave some feedback please.

WHAT!?!?!?!? YOU DON"T LIKE IT?????????????????

A good question

A good question to ask yourself is:

"Would I pay for this if it was sold as a sample?"
