Pizza Delivery

Question:

If it says that a delivery charge is added to ordering pizza does that mean that it's basically a tip?

Posted by tubularbills on Apr-01-2008 01:39:

no you jerkass you still have to tip.

Posted by kadomony on Apr-01-2008 01:39:

btw, i think Domino's online ordering system is amazing.
You can actually track your pizza's progress.

What toppings did you get for em pies?

actually i'm pretty sure that the ordering "fee" is refundable once the pizza is delivered, so you should probably ask the delivery guy to give it to you, and then give it back to him as a tip.

it was just a question... i didn't say i didn't tip..

but yeah, i didnt tip... i felt kinda guilty but a delivery charge is robbery and considered it to be the tip..

well i didnt tip and rewrote the total at teh bottom but since i felt guilty i wrote it so fast that it was basically scribble...

fuckin dude came back and knocked on the door and was like "uh, i cant read this and my boss is going to ask me" i take it again and put a line through tip (to make sure no confusion) and then clearly rewrite teh total...

i still feel bad, but a delivery charge is BS...

carl cox would've tipped

most places do have a delivery charge. it was rare to find ones even in a college town that didn't have one.

If you want to whine and complain about charges, go buy the ingredients and make your own pizza.

I've done that many times, but only because I enjoy making it. The cost of ingredients for an all-dressed pizza (provided you buy decent quality) is almost the same as delivery. You save a few dollars at most.

Don't tip the pizza guy. He chose a job where he wastes his own gas and he expects us to pay EXTRA for his job choice? F that!

This is coming from an ex server and bartender, so don't lecture me on tipping. I know full well when someone deserves a tip and when they don't.

is there a delivery charge because you didn't order a 10$ minimum?

or whatever amount?
