Anyone here play Utopia or Earth: 2025?

They're massively-multiplayer text-based strategy games. Utopia is by far the better game .. it's sort of like a text version of Warcraft..

games.swirve.com/utopia if you're interested...

and if anyone here does play utopia, what's ur location? just curious

Yes, I play Utopia. I did play Earth too but stopped playing it. My kingdom on Utopia is 14:36 and I'm Psychotic Penguin (Please don't attack ) How long have you been playing?

About 2 years now...
I got deleted at the start of this round

Smoking ..umm..something

The only Utopia i had was one that i had on my 386 like 6 -7 years ago......What kind of game it's these ?

No Utopia isn't a game you can download onto your computer, it's online only. Text-based strategy, sort of like Warcraft but with text instead of graphics.

It's pretty enjoyable to play, plus it's good for meeting new people...

i never could comprehend how people find text based game entertaining.. seems rather boring to me... i didn't pay a grand for my blazing comp just to type out "i attack you with my penis, die die die"

You don't type stuff in .. it's mainly about numbers...
Building armies, conquering territory, working with other players on your team, socialising..

Just because there's no graphics doesn't mean it's no good or a waste of computing power. Login once or twice a day to make sure everything is running smoothly, then go back to CS

I've played both Utopia and Earth 4 years ago though. I had to stop because it was taking over my life. Utopia is one addictive game!

After I moved to Canada, i was looking for the site to register again but couldn't find it. Thanks to you guys I found it again. So what are your networths now? and when is the new season beginning?

Posted by webmeister on May-21-2002 08:37:

Sorry to say, but the new round only started about 2-3 weeks ago...

My net is only 100k
I'm pretty small, had a very interesting start (got deleted and had to defect a few times too) .. right now the biggest provinces are getting up over the 400k mark.

If you're about to create a new account, I'd suggest picking Avian, they seem to have a definite edge this round .. also make sure u read the guide because a lot of things have probably changed since you last played.

Thanks for the tip webmeister, I'll give the Avians a try. Its gonna take me a while to get to know the game more after so many years, but i'll come around

OMG! so many things changed since i've played. Really confusing stuff.

hehe .. my advice to the new players in my kingdom is always:

Read the guide, then read the guide again because it probably didn't make much sense the first time

Don't be afraid to ask questions in the forums, someone will usually help you out.
