Hoaxes throughout history

I try my best to avoid the world until 12. Im way to gullible.

The british press are the best though. Apparently there was an article published about Big Ben being replaced with a digital clock face, and BBC had something about flying penguins.. .

On the way to work this morning they were talking about past jokes people did, and they had one in England about a marathon.

They stated that there was a marathon that was happening, and apparently there was a runner from Japan who was confused with the translation. He mis-read that the race was 26 miles and thought that the marathon was 26 days and that he was determined to finish the race.

Apparently there was many reports of people calling in to radio stations saying that they spotted the runner going through the hills of Manchester and all over hahaha...

sounds pretty funny to me.
