What genre is this?

Hi! Im visitng Amsterdam this October for my Birthday, could anyone advise a good club? Ive seen the page on club listing and posted a question on the forum with no response. The problem is, I dont know the name of the genre of music I like so Im unsure which club would be best from the descriptions. Ive been told I like "uplifting trancy house" but that means nothing to me! I love the late 90s, early 2000's type dance music - Jan Jonson (Skydive), Motorcycle (as the rush comes), William Orbit (Adagio for strings), Paul Van Dyke (Angels), Ian Van Dal (castles in the sky), Roger sanchez (Another chance), faithless. Im not really into anything really funky, but I do like some of the modern pop-style dance like freddy le grand and David Guetta. Can anyone tell me what genre of music this is and possibly recommend somewhere in Amsterdam that plays this? I will be in amsterdam on a Friday and saturday on October.
Thanks in advance!
Katy

The genre is called Humppa.

In your situation it would be best not to worry about what genre will be playing and just have a good time

Many thanks for your help. Do you know if Humppa is still played in UK / Amsterdam?

Humppa is played in most of the clubs you'll find. Just go up to the DJ and request it.

This thread wins!

katy to answer your question you like trance. You can call it progressive house or progressive trance but trance is probably the easiest way to put it. Please don't go to the DJ and requst humppa. LOL. Man people on this board are cruel sometimes.

Have an awesome b-day!
