we got our power back at 5.30 this morning. was an interesting night.
Bet someone's having panic stations right now when they find out who was responsible for the generator not being maintained!
aww, hope you get along with your neighbours. tree disputes are always pointless fun
Power was only off for about 20 minutes at my house yesterday but when I drove anywhere there was just branches all over the road and when I was driving along maroondah hwy last night (big busy ass highway), the lights were out at every intersection from ringwood east to lilydale and most of them didnt have police directing or anything so you just had to slow down and hope someone didnt come out of nowhere and take you out.
Crazy shit.
I just feel most sorry for the families whose loved ones passed away due to this wild weather.
How tragic.

tree in the the backyard fell over and landed smack in the middle of my pappou's old kingswood, which i am supposed to be fixing up but have no money so it just sits there hehe. no damage whatsoever!! my mum reckons he is protecting it from beyond the grave....
holy christ!!!
that's insane jolene. Glad to see that you're ok. What alerted you to get out on time? Did you hear crackling or some sort of sign that let you know that it was about to collapse on your house?
It's too bad the weather was bad. Over here when there was that massive blackout in the North Eastern part of N.A. there was not electricity for about 2 days... and people just through raves in the middle of major streets when it was dark. All powered by generators and car batteries. Turntables, glowsticks and everything
