Make sure to check out events, parties and celebrations on June 23rd and 24th, which is St-Jean-Baptiste, Quebec's national holiday. Plenty of outdoor shows and parties are planned both in Montreal and Quebec City.

Quebec City will be full of activities all year long, because 2008 is the 400th anniversary of the city. Make sure to catch the program on their website. Plenty of art exhibition and special events taking place.

Concerning strictly EDM, we don't know yet, and probably won't until May. Come back around that time so we can enlighten you better.

In Quebec City though, there is a club called Sonar which is tech-house/minimal oriented. I've never been, but it's probably the best club you'll find in Quebec City. All other clubs are commercial music oriented, including Dagobert, which occasionally throws some nice EDM events.

In Bas-st-Laurent, I have no idea what is going on with EDM, but probably nothing, so make sure to enjoy that time to relax and take plenty of pictures.

Jazz Fest in Montreal, end of June into early July.
even if you don't like the music, it's a festival that you can't miss every summer here
