Push - Universal Voices EP

New EP from the legendary Push is coming...including these:

Push - Into my sound and music
- wow really massive beat here, just like in the good old Push days, the melody didnt impressed me that much, but it will be a strong track, it has some hit potential

Push - Back to the essence
- nice old school melody, but its quite average overally

Push - Voyager
- yeah! this is monster trance tune, this is simply the good old Push!

Push - Trance indicator
- this sounds really way too different from the clip from youtube channel, massive massive massive

I am really impressed, this is TRANCE at its the best and M.I.K.E. -the master of this style is back in full power

I'm not really into the others (yet)

I agree his kick and bassline now sound much clearer than it used to; but the main leads don't seem to have the same hook right now.

Another amazing trance ep from the master again, finially!!!

Agreed! Also his radioshow is awesome lately.

Really excited that he didn't do what almost every producer did and turn to "electro" for a "new direction". Great to hear Push again!

Pretty good material. Nothing groundbreaking, but worthy of the Push alias.

I really enjoyed the clips. I'm looking forward to hear the full length versions.

Only Voyager sticks out for me. But it is real classic Push. Distinctive and catchy melody that is full of power and energy and it has that patented huge take off after the break.

The rest are nice but not worthy of the Push alias. I wonder how long it will take for it to come out though

i actually like the first, 'into my sound and music' the best. the rest are alright, for now. nice to have push back though, thanks m.i.k.e.!

I agree. Still great to hear some refreshing, quality trance for once. This is amazing for the current trance market - but still, it doesn't match up to the old Push material imo. Trance Indicator & Voyager are the best two tracks on the EP. Indicator is fucking HUGE! THIS IS REAL PUSH! Into My Sound & Music is good - but the lead ruins it for me. And I don't like the kick in Back To The Essence. I rate the tracks (from best & onward):

1. Trance Indicator
2. Voyager
3. Into My Sound & Music
4. Back To The Essence

Still, some massive, massive stuff here. I hope other so-called trance producers take notes from Mike. Keep it the great work M.I.K.E.! Also, if you guys like this, you will love the new Absolute release: Dolphins Cry/Absolute-Ly. Has the classic M.I.K.E. sound to it.

its starts to bring me chills when i hear one of those tracks out on the floor.

OK ep, nothing spectecular or close to his plastic boy stuff, but i like back to the essence a lot, i think they have to grow on me

Hmm... Decent stuff but not as amazing as expected after hearing the full EP. Back to the Essence is probably the best out of them.

Would have loved to hear the original Trance Indicator in his Youtube clip though.

i have the EP on my computer, but havent listened to it yet, i cant wait!

So where can we buy this release? I am not finding it on dancerecords, and I'd rather use Beatport as a last resort(Hard copies ftw).

I prefer the new version, although the mix is a bit busy after the break. Massive track though, right up there with Tranzy State of Mind etc. in terms of sound and melody.

Not quite feeling the others, except for Voyager which is a solid melodic trancer - a tad too soft and happy for the Push alias though.

I hope there's more to come from Push.

Back To The Essence is growing a lot on me. Massive track

yeah , back to essence does really have great potential , played outdors in front of huge crowd i have no doubt it will bring the house down ...way to go mike

01. Back To The Essence [07:41] - maybe the most old-school sounding from the 4 tracks, it has similiar melody to Teardrops From Above and its really good 9/10

02. Into My Sound Of Music [08:31] - this one starts really promising, so HUGE beat and bass, absolutely stunning deeper sub-melody is added around 2:30 (reminds me a bit of The Gift - Seventh Day) but then in breakdown it turns into quite happy trancer with Steurish melody, not so typical for Push, but its another strong track 9+/10

03. Trance Indicator [07:25] - starts quite electrish, but with some massive cool noises, more trancey vibe is added around 2:00 minutes, after a few moments comes absolutely breathtaking breakdown with melody reminding Universal Nation...massive track and very typical for Push alias 10/10

04. Voyager [07:51] - this is the best track from this EP, another typical Push sound, the melody is breathtaking in this track 10/10

Really great comeback, I slightly prefer the new Plastic Boy which will be out on June, but this EP is worth 10/10 as well, 4 massive trancers

Was it only me, or didnt we hear parts of all these tracks in his youtube video ?

Great release, loving the groove of Back To The Essence, and the energy of Trance Indicator.

Easily best trance release in years!!!
