good thoughts and prayers needed for Cory and his fam
We did a great job of coming together and sending Steve and his family our comforting thoughts and prayers. I thought we could do the same for Cory.
I just got a call from him. His father was in a bad motorcycle accident today and is being life flighted to the hospital in Houston right now. He told me it didn't look good. I know Cory is really super close to his dad. I have met him before and he's a really awesome guy.
Please everyone send your prayers, thoughts or whatever you do. I really hope he pulls though okay!
Done.
You know my thoughts and prayers are with him. Already been in contact with him.
I was supposed to work till 11pm tonight, but I got off 2 hours early to drive to the baytown area.
Thanks for the text Steph, and sorry for the late reply.
oh thank you Carlos! I'm glad to know someone will be there with him!
I feel freaking helpless in Dallas.
Thank you.
I will post more later
Why is this always the shitty time of the year for stuff like this?
My dad was in a motorcycle accident today. wasnt wearing a helment landed head firts into the ground at 50 mph. was life flighted to herman downtown due to head trama. as of right now he has woken up and knows his name and the year and that he is in the hospital. nothing else really happened no briken bones or anything like that he can move his fingers and toes and responds to his name. he doesnt really have a bad fever from the head trama its at 99.6 or so witch is good. SO as of right now if his brain doesnt swell and the bleeding doesnt get worse they are looking for a full recovery right now. Hopefully nothing changes.
Its hard to grasp the fact that something like this happened still doesnt seem real to me yet but when he wasnt back around the time he said he would be back i knew something was wrong. then i get the phone call from HPD then his best friend. Let me tell you that is the worst phone call in the world.
Tell your family you love them. you never know when it may be the last time you get to tell them.
Glad things are going well. Christy is a neuro critical care nurse and knows what this is all about. All of what you have said says that this is a good sign. But, things might get worse before they get better. BUT, they have this under control and know what they are dealing with. Hang in there, bro. I know this is rough. You're Dad's gonna pull through this just fine though.
I know what you are feeling right now though. My last conversation with my Dad is the last thought that runs through my head every night before I fall asleep. Things will get better though.
love, hope, and prayers.
i still worry each time my parents go riding.
