Ain't got no ice here. Can the Australian team use broken VB bottles on their feet instead (possibly their gloves too?)

??

Posted by elFreak on Apr-06-2008 08:30:

well hockey players tend to be missing a lot of teeth, so i am perplexed why Australia have not put a dominating team together.

go habs go!

curtis fucking joseph. go calgary!

Posted by elFreak on Apr-06-2008 09:26:

yeah i will cheer on any canadian team except ottawa...because they aren't canadian just boring.

Posted by Ian on Apr-06-2008 11:31:

my heart wants a calgary vs washington final

my head says more likely to have the final 4 as

San Jose & Detroit in the west

Pittsburgh & Montreal in the east

ps. Dion Phaneuf wrecks kids.

RED WINGS!!!

Posted by BTG on Apr-06-2008 18:47:

ok picking calgary isn't really fair because i only like curtis joseph, and i'm pretty sure they're not going to win.

so i really like san jose, and i also like washington, and montreal.

and i hope pittsburgs bus crashes and sydney crosby has a career ending injury.

GO SHARKS!

Washington has all the momentum right now, though their playoff inexperience may cause them some trouble against teams like Montreal, New Jersey, and even Pittsburgh. Would still like to see them go all the way though, with a Penguin/Capitals match-up along the way.

The West? Detroit'll choke as always, San Jose'll choke as always, Turco still won't get out of the first round... For some reason, I feel Anaheim and Colorado have the best shot at it.

I just get the feeling that something will change this time around in the west. Mentally some of those that have choked before will have a lot to do, but for detroit especially, with some of their players they surely won't get more chances to do it. I was shocked Vancouver dropped out personally, but don't think colorado will go far, even with forsberg et al

Washington is a great story, they've had a great season after the change of coach and Ovechkin, Backstrom, Federov, Semin, Huet, Ollie the goalie & cooke give them players capable of beating anyone. Perhaps on current form too they may go into it fearless. that may obviously go against them but on current form they have to have a chance.

Perhaps. Hell, for all we know, Nashville could be this year's Cinderella Team.

I'd hope not And as long as it's not Boston, who play the most defence minded boring game i've seen so far in my 12 months nhl watching, then I don't mind. Oh, not ottawa either!

Predictions? for the East i think my Habs will make it at least to the conferance finals and hopefully the finals. Pittsburgh, inconsistent, and inexperienced (plus i fucking hate crosby, that whiny bitch deserves a bat to the head) but they ahve a good second line as well which will probably take them into 2nd round maybe 3rd. ovie and the caps might make it to round two.... dont bet the bank on it though as huet isnt the greatest pressure goalie around. that being said, it will be interesting to see how price holds up during the playoffs, although i have blind faith... ottawa is done.... bunch of twats.... no alfie + pissed off third and second lines and shitty goaltending have sealed their fate. boston wont make it 4 games in round one, mtl will clean them up quick, and im not really worried about philly at all.

for the west my prediction is sj all the way ot the finals. DETROIT CAN LICK MY NUTS...... they have the EASIEST division in the league by far. Anaheim has a shot too, but i think thorton and the sharks are looking way too good this year, plus its his time.

its a long shot but im praying for the oppourtunity to see that cup brought home to montreal where it should be. if not this season than in the near future anyways....

That's exciting compared to what the devils used to play back in the 90s

Posted by elFreak on Apr-07-2008 03:54:

washington is a cinderella story, but it just isn't their time yet. Ovechkin will hoist the cup, just not this year.

ps

1st place!

thanks philly

go habs go...hockey fury ole ole ole ole

Boston will get blown away in the first round...Ottawa too.
