[Rhythmic Soundscape] Avana - The Deluge (Full 320)

Hi,

Here's a more or less finished track from the album I am working on (working title is 'Rituals')

This one is a sort of epic triplet soundscape, not very melodic. I thought about making it melodic but then decided against it because I liked the groove it was getting into.

mmm ... yum. Very luscious mood to it. I really need to get me more of this kind of stuff for when I occasionally chill

thanks for listening guys

glad you enjoyed it

Nice artwork. Since I'm not familiar with all the technical terms in producing I'll settle by saying, great track, love the vibe through the whole thing, good work Adam!

thanks,

i didn't really do anything though on the image - it's just a stock photo with some nice typography.

i will be doing the album cover as a painting though when it's all said and done

btw
all this stuff is now live on my website
www.adamvana.com

you can stream there in high quality

hey adam, so finally listened to it on a good pair of studio quality monitors and i must say i enjoy it. Send it when its mastered though as there is a few "competions" with the frequencies. All in all really like the perc work and be sure to hit me up with the finished sample!
Cheers
J

Cool, thanks for that. It's definitely a little muddy right now.

Another nice track, I can't find anything wrong with it. Well done.

Just a tip, if you're trying to do your website for the tracks to be only stream-able and not available to download, it's not working because moving the mouse over the links gives away the URL for the full track.

I like "Voices" too.

hey - yeah I'm not trying to stop people from downloading my tracks. It would be pretty simple to stop it, but I just don't care. There's one on there that is on a label, however, but it is low quality and interrupted with 440 hz 1 second bleeps every so often

thanks for listening, glad you liked it

'voices' is just a sketch right now - a loop basically, but hopefully i will come up with an interesting idea on that soon

looking forward to hearing the rest.

Really good stuff! Love the percs, and the whole atmosphere.

Thanks

had a chance to play it out at the beginning of a set last weekend and it sounded great

Bloody hell, great track

What did you use to get such great sounds mate? Not asking all your secrets, but this is just brilliant. I guess its just really well layered percussion and two synths with automated cutoffs? Works whatever it is. Where did you get the percussion samples? It reminds me of the score for american beauty, but more electronic.
I won't even try to give feedback since its pretty perfect as it is

Posted by nefardec on Apr-28-2008 14:40:

thanks

yeah it's mostly just layered percussion and reverb

i get nearly all of my percussion from The Freesound Project

and I have a lot of analog drum machine samples that I bought off of ebay
