Who are these idiots at iTunes?

Who decided it was a good idea to sample the first 30 seconds of a electronic dance music track on iTunes? Who the hell will listen to raw 30 seconds or just "un ssss un ssss un ssss" and be like "oh yeah this track totally sounds awesome."

This is worse than sinks that spew out hot water that burns your hands at public restrooms.

People are actually SO stupid that they sample 30 seconds of a trance...or house...track that is purely only for a DJ to mix in or out of. There is NO reason for this.

SAMPLE THE MIDDLE OF THE TRACK YOU FAAKING MORONS!

First of all, why the hell are you using iTunes of all places for EDM

Because when I check out tracks on beatport, 15% of the time it's on iTunes, and for only 99 cents.

AND SOMETIMES I BUY JANET JACKSON TRACKS! THERE I ADMITTED IT!

Oh yeah also my friend gave me a $50 iTunes giftcard.

The obvious guess is that they just have some kind of automated thing to make samples out of the tunes.
I haven't bought anything of I-tunes in ages, do they still bend you over with their rights management stuff on the tracks?

Here's where logic works:

1. check out tracks on beatport
2. double check to see which of the tracks I like from beatport are ALSO on iTunes
3. Buy the ones that are also on iTunes from iTunes
4. Save money

Just so happens when I browse on iTunes for anything a lot of songs are not sampled in the middle. Some songs (all those damn tiesto tracks) are privileged to come across people with brains that sample from the end of the build up to where the beat kicks back in. But more of the amateur or underground tracks are either run through a machine or through a really stupid person that should never exist in the first place.

My theory is iTunes is run by a bunch of goons who only pay attention to popular tracks, and probably think either all the other tracks follow the same formula (having commercial like qualities throughout the entire song) or purposefully ignore other tracks. I bet they look at EDM and think "just sample the first 30 seconds because I don't wanna listen to the whole track and I'm sure it's just like pop music right?" These are probably the same assholes that look at the stats in the end and go "gee no one likes house or trance music. I bet it's cuz the genres sucks and not because we sampled the first 30 seconds."

Heres where reading what I wrote works:

1. I pretty much said, why would you care what the sample on iTunes is if you already heard the track on Beatport
2. See 1.

I wasn't doubting your process, I was wondering why it mattered.
