Does anyone listen to This American Life?

It's a really great radio show put out by Chicago Public Radio. You might be able to hear it on NPR, but you can listen to all of them via webcast at www.thislife.org - such a great show!

So fucking good. I'm an NPR junkie though, I work delivery friday nights and I listen to NPR straight from 4pm to 3am. But yeah, great fucking show. It was actually the show that first got me listening to NPR. I was scanning the dial one night at work and heard DJ Shadow, then some black dude talking about the hood life. Seemed interesting enough

Oh and I'm convinced Ira Glass is Buddy Holly's long lost son.

hah i grew out of prarie home companion, but yeah the rest are all amazing. hell i'm a fan of fresh air. oh and as it happens is sweet too. Those two women sound like such laid back carefree upperclass bitches, but then they get a politician on the phone and god damn, they're viscious. Yeah as it happens is fucking awesome, some of the best mixing of human interest with like hard hitting journalism type stuff i hear on the radio. Plus they're canadian

NPR junkie #2.

Listen to it all day on campus, so inevitably there's an episode of this American Life that comes up every once in a while.

NPR would be really good if it weren't for the ridiculously snooty-sounding hosts.

That's part of it's appeal. Every person on there sounds like they've been taken directly from San Francisco as it appears in the "Smug" episode of South Park.

Any time I think of that, I lol.

Npr rocks the show for sho!

I listen to plenty of Npr Pri shows.

Btw This American Life is a PRI show and not Npr

Concerning podcasts you should all check out
Studio 360 ( creative inspring stuff featuring musicians artists writers film producers etc )
Npr Pop Culture ( to learn about new trends, pretty cool for foreign nationals and well it's just wacky at times )

There's plenty of others I listen to but can't be arsed to say what

and if you people want to listen to a good british podcast you must check out Lucy Kellaways' podcast.
Lucy Kellaway, the FT's management columnist, pokes fun at management fads and jargon and celebrated the ups and downs of office life
a must listen-to for anyone working in an office.
She's witty, sarcastic and downright cool in my book.

Eh, I'd prefer and informed and smart, but snooty host to an uninformed host.
