Greener Clubs?
very interessant
more importantly, why were you up at quarter to 5 posting this? lol
LEDs man.
This is excellent.
If a DJ trainwrecks, very few will be dancing, hence no power for him and he's forced to shut 'er down. Works well on so many levels.

I actually used to wonder if this was feasible...good to know that there are people out there working to make this possible.

Something very similar to this was implemented in a club in Finland late last year I believe, and the patrons hated it because it felt like they were stepping on cushions the entire time. It'll have to be refined as such that the movement between the floor and the tiny parts underneath is minimal.
i can power tiestor's lasor
This is actually super cool. Go figure, the Dutch came up with it. I love the Dutch
I liked watching the trams...brought back memories...DING!
PartEgurl knows a lot about sustainable design for clubs and stuff. i'll even go as far as saying that she's a know-it-all on that topic :P

Obviously the club would have to be on the grid as well, it would be ridiculous to have the place powered solely by this thing.
Also I don't think the power generated would go directly to the lights and shows... it would be stored in a battery and used as supplementry power to the original power going to the lights and so forth to subsidize the amount used....
Actually this is pretty amazing .. i was reading about this a few weeks ago. And i did a bit of research ... checked out its website read a couple articles ... pretty cool, the Dance Floor is actually only one of a few sustasinable design features ... its pretty eco friendly, id love to go party here for sure ...
