i find that this is the best way to do it because you can make it exactly to what height you want and location and everything. just makes the comfort level perfect for YOUR situation. a lot of time you probably wount get so lucky with buying the stands, but they might look better than the home made ones (depending on how good you are with building things)

I made mine with pipe fittings. A flange piece on the desk, screwed into a 10" nipple (short length of pipe), a 45 degree elbow, then another 3" nipple and another flange screwed into a piece of plywood cut the size of a CDJ. I then put a small piece of wood on the bottom of the plywood piece to keep the CDJ's from sliding.

Painted the whole thing black, and I used some of that non-slip rubber mat stuff you used in drawers and stuff cut to the size of the cdj, really keeps it firmly in place.

My site is apparently having problems. It should be fixed soon. Eventually you will be able to see the picture.

Please have a snack, watch a movie and then return to this thread.

Love the mixer. I want to get me one soon.

Yes I absolutely love the Rane. I had to build that 19" black box to hold it though, and what you can't see is there's a huge hole in the desk for all the wires underneath... but I think it was worth it

Sounds and feels fantastic. I only wish it had a bit more advanced effects loop, but otherwise it's nearly perfect for me.

Simple, practical, ergonomic construction that looks great. Bravo my friend. You should open up an e-store to sell those things. The next-best options for CDJ stands are >$100.

Haha, thanks. The only thing I wish you could do would be to adjust the angle... I could only find 1" pipe fittings for 45 degrees... but it's actually been fine.
