Brunch in Manhattan?

Love it or hate it... well, really only if you love it... where are your favorite spots?

Erica's thread reminded me that brunch is a wonderful thing! TA meetup anyone?

If I could eat dim sum every day I would...dishes of choice har gaw (shrimp dumplings), har chan (shrimp noodles), har shumai (another kind of shrimp dumpling), ah, anything with shrimp in it i recommend oh and beef balls

dim sum is ok but many dishes are a bit greasy to eat so early in the morning...i dunno, i always get a tummieache after eating but i do agree, shrimp items are always good dont get the baos (buns) because you can always get those cheaper in bakeries.

My friends and I used to hit up Bubby's in Tribeca (if that is still around), biggg breakfast plates and a warm environment. Always crowded if I recall correctly. No unlimited mimosas/champagne though.

Very low-key but can get just as crowded: ArtePasta, diagonally across from St. Vincents Hospital on 6th Avenue. Unlimited Mimosas/champagne, 9.99$ for brunch with a basket of small muffins.

agreed that i'm hungry in two hours, even after having many plates of food. the grease just helps the food slide through the digestive tract so quickly.

Hmm I think this thread has some possibilities, if I put together a TA brunch meetup... would anyone be willing besides myself? And Erica whom I know wouldn't pass up the chance to be convinced that drinking in the morning/early afternoon = ftw

I have had some excellent inexpensive food in Williamsburg and the restaurants always have such style.

Yep I'd definitely be up for brunch sometime, however with my work sched the only possible days that could work for me are Sunday and Monday.
