Cheapest place for some high quality flight cases...
Hey guys. I think it's finally time for me to to pick up a few flight cases for my CDJ 800s and DJM 400 (although I want something that will fit a 4 channel for an eventual upgrade). I want individual cases, not a coffin. Recently I've been doing a lot of gigs that required me to bring my own gear, and I'm tired of lugging around the original boxes (looks sketchy too
).
WHAT do you all recommend (I was looking at Odyssey or Road Ready) and more importantly, WHERE have you guys found the best deals for them, either in store or online?
Thanks a bunch.
I haven't seen any place with particularly low prices, but Road Ready cases are worth every penny. My cases are pretty banged up, but the equipment inside looks like it did the day i bought it.
Road Ready. So far AGIprodj is very competitive.
Love the free shipping.
ive just bagged myself a road ready coffin for my 800 mk2s...they do individual ones too..are u sure you dont want coffin because u can leave them set up in there. its quality!
But roadready are very worth the money, feels like u can drop them out the second floor window...probaly not gonna try it tho.

havent really gone anywhere with it yet cus only got it yesterday . Flyin to thailand with them in may so ill let u know then! but i would trust the case even with the baggage handlers, maybe not at Terminal 5 tho
I have Road Ready cases. They are heavy and feel solid, but I think the quality control on the construction leaves a little to be desired. For example, it seems like not a lot of effort was made to make sure the cases were square or were actually flat, and in some cases the metal parts seem like they were forced together and held in place with the rivets.
On one of my CDJ cases, the hole for the cables in the back was cut out, but the foam on the inside wasn't. Not a big deal, as I could just cut the foam out myself, but the unit passed QC. I actually had to send back one of the cases when I first got them because the case was missing rivets and was pretty poorly constructed compared to the other two.
I ordered a coffin for my CDJ-800s/Vestax VMC-004 off prodjcase.com a while ago; my first shipment got lost (thanks UPS) so I should be getting them in, finally, any day now. I hear great things about their cases and the people there are pretty helpful/nice; I think my coffin ran about $450 or so, can't remember exactly. I'll let you know how it is when it comes in.
Road ready without doubt
