Question about BT's Flaming June
Ok, how many versions of this track are there? Is there one that BT produced by himself, and another which PvD and him remixed together, or are all of them the same, but just labelled as BT - Flaming June or PvD - Flaming June or BT vs. PvD - Flaming June...etc etc etc etc.
How long is the original, and, if there's a PvD mix of it, how long is that one? Thanks...
Edit: One more thing...what other songs have PvD and BT worked on together?
I'm not really sure about Flaming June, but together they have worked on these songs:
PvD & BT - Namistai <--- AWESOME (either they worked on it together or it is a BT remix that I am thinking of)
Paul van Dyk - Forbidden Fruit (BT's & PvD's Food of Love Mix)
They have worked together also on track BT & PvD feat. Jan Johnston - Sunblind and PvD has done 2 remixes of Blue Skies and 2 remixes of Remember.
"The original version" of Flaming June is actually the Bt vs. PvD mix and there is no real original track by just BT..
Disc one (PERF 145CD1):
1. Flaming June - BT and PVD Edit (3.46)
2. Orbitus Teranium - Album Version (8:28)
3. Orbitus Teranium - Lenco Shift Mix (6:03)
Disc two (PERF 145CD2):
1. Flaming June - BT and PVD Mix (8:50)
2. Flaming June - Lemon D Remix (8:13)
3. Flaming June - H.H.C Remix (7:26)
4. Flaming June - Simon Hale's Orchestrata (5:12)
The Paul van Dyk (PVD) and H.H.C remixes are slamming pieces of progressive house that are a must.
Disc three (PERF 157CD1)
1. Flaming June - BT and PVD Edit (3.44)
2. Flaming June - Chicane Remix (9.20)
3. Flaming June - H.H.C Remix (7:22)
4. Flaming June - BT and PVD Mix (8:50)
Disc four (PERF 157CD2)
1. Flaming June - BBE Radio Edit (4.01)
2. Flaming June - BBE Club Mix 1 (8:53)
3. Flaming June - BBE Club Mix 2 (6.48)
4. Flaming June - BT and PVD Mix (8:50)
Perfecto vinyl (can't remember the number) includes the full length BT and PvD mix (11.09) (a mixed version of this full mix can be found also on PvD - Vorsprung Dyk Technik 92-98) and the album E.S.C.M includes BT and PvD album edit (8.25)
And six months later Flaming June is back on the shop shelves with some fab reworkings from Chicane and BBE. Chicane, who have recently delivered a stream of progressive house club hits including the wonderful Offshore and Sunstroke (and i'll write a page on them as soon as I can!), remain faithful to the BT and PVD mix, whilst BBE convert the track into a more trancey little number which sounds nothing like the original until near the end of the track - but this is good, cos a) their club remixes are wicked, and b) four CD singles with mixes that all sound the same is a little tedious. In my humble opinion, all of the better remixes are found on these two CD singles.
