Might be moving to El Paso --- What's up TEXAS!!??

I might be moving to El Paso, Texas in about 2 months. What can I expect? Is the EDM scene any good? What is the best city for progressive, trance, dnb, breaks, whatever? Any raves in the desert? I'm also open to meeting like-minded non-sketchy people. So WASSUP WASSUP????

My god...Texas is one FAT ASS state. El Paso is all by itself...

Get ready for culture shock moving there from Tampa. El Paso is a nice town, but one drive down I-10 and you will see why there is a big debate on building a wall to keep illegals out.

There is a little bit of an EDM scene there, not sure where the best place to follow it is though. Haven't ever seen anyone from EP on here.

I know Disco throws shows out there, www.discoproductions.org

Ugh, that will be somethin...

Thanks for the info..

I have a feeling I am going to be real REAL bored in El Paso. I don't think I'll plan on staying long. No more than 2 years.

Don't know much about the EDM scene in El Paso but I do know that West and Central Texas is BORING. Good luck finding a good club or show to attend. Another draw back living in Texas is that it takes hours to get anywhere you want.

maan texas is like any other city. you gotta FIND these events. as far as driving... yea it sucks but you also gotta be saavy through out your drive so u can actually enjoy it, if you have time and all.

but yea i never really payed attention to the long drives until i relocated up north. everything is so bunched up here. that and the food up here sucks ass for the most part.

btw, welcome aboard krypton !!

we usually gather at this pow wow we call EKS (electronic kitchen sessioins) . ill have to tell you the history about that sometime.

I'm definitely down to make long drives for special events. That and a quarter of some fine herbage to make the ride that much more interesting. Thanks for the special welcome..

Why is it it's always the junkies that end up relocating here?

Lubbock had a scene, and it's about six hours from El Paso. You might want to also shop around in New Mexico.

What checkpoint?

Posted by Zild on Apr-13-2008 19:16:

The customs/border patrol checkpoint coming out of El Paso to any major city in Texas. They have dogs and latex gloves.

Yea Jake you like those latex gloves, dont you?

Posted by Zild on Apr-13-2008 20:20:

It depends who has the rubber gloves. I mean I definitely don't want some infected cum dumpster broad touching my precious asshole without protection, but as a relationship progresses and trust is built there is a time when the gloves can come off.

Posted by Krypton on Apr-14-2008 00:17:

Wouldn't they post the customs on the border with Mexico? What, is El Paso ringed with border patrol check points? Sounds like Baghdad to me...

Posted by Zild on Apr-14-2008 00:32:

It is standard for every border city. Yes they have customs at the border, but also a few miles outside of the city. Cuts down on smuggling.

Damn! El Paso? You're almost better off looking for something to do in Arizona.

Welcome to the forum : )
