Loco Dice - 7 Dunham Place [Desolat] [album]

01 Breakfast at Nina's
02 How Do I Know?!
03 Consequently Excentric and Delicate
04 Black Truffles in the Snow
05 La Esquina
06 Tight Laces
07 Got Leaks in the Roof
08 Pimp Jackson Is Talkin Now!!!
09 M Train to Brooklyn

Breakfast At Nina's and La Esquina are really nice...rest is good but nothing really groundbreaking.

Yeah.

La Esquina is definitely my favorite on the release, but as Clovis said nothing "groundbreaking".

7 Dunham Place is the correct title

Thanks, I noticed that last night when posting, but then in my stoned state forgot to do anything about it.

that album cover is really awesome, the colors are amazing. my favorite track, i think, is 'got leaks in the roof'.

Interesting. I'll have to check this out.

previews dictate that an imminent purchase is pending. Some of the tracks are a little empty sounding, but thats a plus in my book. Mash potatoes.

Indeed, thats what I got on first listen. A few of them sound under developed or unfinished...but after further listens it is growing on me already. The drops and twists in La Esquina are fucking great.

i am already salivating at a few things i would like to do with Got Leaks In The Roof.

Last track is a trip too, theres like a really low recording of people talking and ambiance in the background and at 120bpm it has a series of builds of tension and releases that make it interesting. The metro samples are a bit cliche though...

Is Martin Buttrich still producing all his tunes?

Dice rocked with Carola in Miami.

Buttrich was the shiznit Although not everybody could appreciate 124 bpm at 2 am. Loco Dice was alright, but nothing groundbreaking.

Buttrich is AWESOME in person, one of the best deep/tech house djs I've seen. Did he drop that new Serge Santiago mix of At Night?

Posted by Djeebie on Apr-18-2008 15:56:

Nope, he did a live set.

Pimp Jackson is Talking

love that bassline, great track even though the vocals are a bit at times

'la esquinia' is scorching, best track of the album. 'black truffles' is nice aswell, has that similar vibe like 'jacuzzi games' which i like.
