yay! got my decks!

well, after being on my toy list for well over a year, i finally have a set of M3Ds... my first decks.

I now see why people get frustrated learning to beatmatch on decks, all manual. i'm frustrated already, but I will say i did manage to get a couple of tracks matched up (even made a good transiton) and i can tell it's gonna be pure fun when my ears start working a little better. *bounce*

Now that I have decks I want a fancy mixer. lol. geez im gonna be broke till i die.. toys.. records.. audio equiptment.. and I thought my previous hobbies were expensive! LOL

peace yall

heh, i don't have m3d's because there too expensive, but i got vestax pc a1's (used), which work great, and saved me a hellofalot of cash. and i have a numark dm2000x mixer (newish looking). got them all about 2 weeks ago .
working on my transisitions, but i need MORE PRACTICE. lol

yea.. practice practice! i guess that makes two of us that need it!

I've been spoiled the fancy features of bpm studio, traktor, and atomixmp3 for the past year or so... got fairly good at it... but I have to kiss the toys, whistles, and fancy features goodbye now and say hello to low-tech

low-tech has it's advantages... and it's a hell of a lot more fun to focus on the music and physics, not technology.

Right ON! I also just got my first decks... Vestax PDX 2000s... I'm very happy with them!

Believe it or not, so far I can only beatmatch Drum and Bass consistently. I'm getting pretty good at it... That's what I started with, so that's what I learned to beatmatch first. A lot more practice ahead of me tho.

I agree. Get a digital cam and do the right thing- post up a picture!

nice... you should make a post about the vestax tables when you get used to them and tell us all what you think in detail... havn't heard much about them but they are supposed to be sweet from what i have heard!

a digital camera... now there's something that is also STILL on the toylist... who wants to buy me one?!! (i can dream, right?)

idun think you meant tell us about the pdxa-1's, but im going to anyways :P they have better torque then my friends 1200's ( we compared) but they brake slower. pitch isn't as sensitive as 1200's but has +- 10% instead of +- 8% so thats cool. i like them a lot. and they costed way less then 1200's!
