sams club interview

What should I wear? I'm thinking some of my better jeans and maybe a dress shirt.

What kind of shit do they ask?

Posted by Sunsnail on Apr-17-2008 03:26:

I don't have anything else right now besides jeans, so that's not going to work.

Well, jeans are among the last clothing items you should wear to an interview, but this is Sam's Club were talking here, so I don't think you should worry. I mean no offense to that, but it's practically a warehouse, and it's not a job that you show up in suit and tie, and Sam's is known for employing a lot of people who aren't necessarily wealthy and probably lack business-type apparel anyway.

Wear some khakis and a polo shirt and you'll be fine.

Sam's club is basically a warehouse but their corporate dress code requires khakis. I worked for Walmart for 2 years. They don't enforce it but you'd look like an asshole showing up in jeans.

It's connected to Wal-Mart, therefore I highly recommend that you not even show up to the interview.

<3 Wal-Mart.

its very good job for someone that does not have an education, if you get the job start working on some dress clothes. you can check out kohls and find some really nice stuff for around ten dollars. I have got the fatest gear for dress clothes. everytime I go to downtown I dress better than most lawyers do, but i shop smart. but i am destitute. I remember when I had nothing, I remember going to interviews and having to wash my ties and ruin them hopeing they would last one more time.

I would just go with slacks and a nice button-down collared shirt.

Depending upon how you feel about it, you can go with a tie, though I personally try to leave the tie at home, mainly because I always feel I'm giving off an overly-deliberate attempt at creating a good impression.

But I wouldn't concern myself with dressing too nice. They know they're interviewing someone for a job, and they know that people want to look as nice as possible for a job interview, regardless as to how obvious it appears.
