Damn that sucks

Thats not too bad, ur lucky u didnt chip the paint on the door.

Thats going to be decently pricey to fix if you want it done good. I wouldnt penny pinch on the repair. If you do you will be regretting it a year from now when that whole section is doesnt match the rest of the car.

I have decent hook ups, but its all the way down here in SD and its a quality shop.

Yikes how did you do that?

woody.. good news/bad news

the scarpe is deeper then a ding doctors. So it will need to be buffed, sanded, painted etc... the biggest problem is it is on a seam of a panel (where the rear meets the rear door) so you will need to prime, and paint both sections. This will probably cost about $800 if you do it proper.

Good news If your deductible through your car insurance is less then that you can say you were in the mall, and you came out to your car, and it was like that. Because it is not a moving violation, and you are not at fault, your insurance will cover it for your collision deductible. Wich is normally about $250-$500

If he scraped into something himself, he's certainly at fault...

Trust me, I know lol.

And comprehensive would cover it if it's not his fault, wouldn't it?

Hahaha here's what happened. I was parked at my work's parking structure. The whole structure is a one way loop. I was parked next to a post at the end of the loop. I pulled forward and didn't wanted to drive all the way around the loop just to get to the same spot I was at, so I made a right turn, and didn't see the cement post that was next to my car and hit it.

I did that once, I had a tie rod break while turning in my parking garage and caught the front tire on a cement support beam. It destroyed a car, $9K worth of damage. Whoops. Thank God it was a company car.....

Aye-carumba, I feel ya. Could have been worse. Got my car scrapped like that in the front-left last year, I let her go becuase she was senior and not all her fault. Easily fixable.
A goodfriend owns a bodyshop, does a great job and won't nick your wallet. Bummer...your about 400miles apart.
But hope you have a great coming weekend though DjWoody.

same thing happen to my car anybody know any good body shops near the Fullerton\Anaheim Area?

Posted by Lomeli on Apr-18-2008 04:35:

Sorry to be a spelling nazi, but it's "scraped."

When you said scrapped I thought you totaled your car.

I know a good repair shop, but i doubt you want to drive all the way to SB.

No way Woody! Hit me up on Aim tomorrow and I'll tell you where to go. I'm surprised you haven't asked me anythign yet. You know I got connections for that! Its in Burbank but i'll save you some money. You will need to leave it there for a couple of days but it will be a good price for ya!

Posted by JCIZZLE! on Apr-18-2008 14:11:

GOT MAACO?

Posted by BLOWZO on Apr-18-2008 16:36:

If you call your insurance people and say you were not in the car, and you came out from the shopping center, they will cover it.

Bottom line...

No points.. no raise of insurance

you pay for your insurance for a reason... now you get to use what you have been paying for for all these years....

I just used mine... almost on the same thing, however for me it was a shopping cart that attached me at about 30mph down a hill into the side of my car

Posted by TSG on Apr-18-2008 17:43:

Woody, just call me.
