Sydney Trance?
Hey Guys,
I usually post over in the producers forum, but I've glanced over this forum before and everyone seems cool except for one thing - theres no one from sydney!
Is there a reason for this at all? Since it seems to me that theres not much trance in sydney at all these days, I'm wondering if there's a secret community I don't know about or if the scene really is dead.
Someone please tell me my suspicions are wrong
im sure there are still trance events going on around town
it's just that many of the syd ta's who used to post on here, no longer listen to trance that much
and those that do still listen to trance have been scared off by the homosexual antics of the following melb ta's
Aesthetic........that is all

Hey Kit,
Just had a listen to some of your stuff. All I can say is "wow"!
Your melodies are amazing, very very unique.
Keep up the good work, you'll go far.
Are you signed yet?
Thanks for the kind words mate, we always like to hear "wow"
I'm not signed yet unfortunately, I'm starting to send stuff off though, so hopefully sometime soon.
Plenty of Sydney trance mate. TA is more for the Melbournites.
You can join www.trancetribe.com as that is more Sydney based and tonnes of stuff there
lol i had totally forgotten about the trancetribe site......
run by a bunch of wankers i seem to remember
there is a lot of Sydney-siders on itm i think
Im a Sydney TA
I think there are a few new trance nights in Sydney now
Progression Project and Nexus come to mind.
And there both more progressive/uplifting/tech trance which is better than most of the nights at subbies.
i havent checked any of them out yet but they both look interesting

Let's be rational about this - Melbourne is the Trance capital recognised by the international scene and I can't see any changes to this for eons. Matter of fact, if things keep progressing down the right path, Melbourne's position in this should grow substantially in the years ahead.
Sydney seems to lack the interest generally and I imagine it would be tough if you are into Trance in any way and live there coz of the little returns.
Would be good to see Syndey growing stronger in this regard for the music sake...
Yes I do seem to get the impression that trance is a bit stronger in Melbourne, but its good to see some people from sydney are around.
But thanks for all the info guys, I had heard good things about Progression but haven't managed to get there yet, same with Nexus. Now I think I'll have to head down to progression next week!
Never really saw Trancetribe before either so thanks for letting me in on that one Fledz
three TAs Cameron O Shea, Muli, and Scott Richardson are playing trance this friday i think? i dont know i rarely listen to trance anymore, the genre is really stagnant

I used to listen to him years ago on Nova 96.9 when they still played reasonable dance music sometimes. But I didn't realise he was a TA..?
