I fucking LOVE that Sander always looks like he's having as much fun as I am when I see him! And all these pics (nice as always, Chris!) of him having a blast make me wanna see him again! And he's always so all over the place with his choons! Damn I needs me some Sander, stat!

And of course the first real gig Montie and I had was that night at Henry Fonda with him playing the main room just before Halloween a few years back, so I'll always have a special place in my heart for him. Awww

How'd you guys feel about his set? Was it good? How about 16BL?

i had a blast!!!!! didn't get there until almost 2 am b/c i wanted to see SVD but i couldn't get into the music at vanguard and the place was packed and hot so off i went to avalon.

got there and the music was instantly better!! they switched the stage set up which i like but it wasn't as intimate as the lareint garnier set up but still sander could interact more with the crowd and that he did!!!! he really did seem to be enjoying himself and playing to the crowd. the crowd wasn't too bad and the dance floor was actually danceable. had room and everything although it stayed pretty packed until the end! i definitely couldn't miss sander after his amazing set on the terrace in miami

i was bummed i missed 16BL but then he ended up closing up the main room until almost 7 am and man did he lay down a nice dark set!!!! first time seeing him and i was definitely impressed!!! good stuff indeed. then i received a bunch of texts telling me to get my ass up to the terrace to see sander spin out for another 2 and a half hours!!!! felt like a mini miami with the sun rising and sunglasses on all the faces and everyone just going crazy!!! this set up was even more intimate and sander was throwing it down and having a blast!!! was very good to see. i love the way he makes eye contact with people in the crowd and reads their reactions!!! makes for an even better experience imo.

bounced back and forth a bit to catch some of Taj's set and of course he always works the crowd and keeps them moving! nicely done Taj. so great to see all the SF TA's and party with them! and of course running into the LA TA's and Joe from AZ!!! what a surprise!! it was like we were back in miami! good times indeed. didn't leave avalon until 8:30 am sunday and the place was still going strong upstairs but sander had just finished and i had people ready to afterparty at my place so i needed to bounce!

great night of music, dancing and friends!!! my legs were so sore from dancing i felt like i had done 100 squats that day! but that's good feeling, right?
