have a few friends who went and enjoyed every minute of jxl's set! wasnt packed as Digitalism esp up front. been wanting to catch him again for awhile but was in LA w/ Taj & SFTAs

I went to check it out. I thought it was good, but short. He only spun for around 90 mins. They shutdown mezzanine at 2am. It was a thin crowd.

Mezzanine feels there is no need to go past to cause they make no $$$ after alcohol is done.

If the promoter wants to go past 2 then promoter must pay for security 2am & beyond.

and that is why i didnt buy my get physical ticket! that and M.A.N.D.Y. being on stage would feel different compared to the last 2 times ive seen them which was a chill crowd/floor level dj booth

Ultimately its a really really cool venue that has not been over used. I love to play there when i get a chance.

I just wish they seriously understood how important it is for us & the S,F, EDM scene to go @ least till 3/4am.

I can understand that there is no need to go till 6/7/8/9am but yo!!! Semi-Late night is key for bumpity bump!!!

Hell we all drink up a storm before 2am just to have the sugar that keeps the machine goin!!!

Was there from 11 and the crowd was really thin at that time...I'd say the most that place had was maybe 300-350...His set was pretty much predictable. That place is great but I don't think they promoted it right and on top till 2am is pretty whack..

There is a crowd for JunkieXl. That crowd is just more underground right now...but they come out for certain DJs.

I've been to JunkieXL nights on a non-weekend night that did well....so yeah, he can draw a crowd.

I didn't see much promotion for it though.

junkie was just here in seattle last night, and it was the same result as what oneloveinfinity just said...

spun a short set, thin crowd, etc....

I saw Junkie last year when he was touring with BT, and that show was way more packed and i think Junkie played a better set last year. This year, none of the tracks really grabbed me.... and i'm a junkie fan.

so.... take that for what its worth.
