Big Ears DJ Eco - "Smoke The Pain Away"

Hey guys, have never posted on the producers forum but nice to meet you all and hear what some of you have put on here I figured I'd throw something on here for you guys to listen to and comment... It's very very different than my other stuff, which I'm always trying to go for, and I messed around with some ideas... I plan on getting vocals sung over it after the 1:26 mark, so that's just there for general idea, not really what it's gunna sound like... I'm curious to hear what you guys think of my usage of an overall filter over everything... I've been having fun with it in a few new tunes and it sounds very unique and yet simple to do... Hope you like the tune so far, enjoy!

Sounds nice. I really like the filter thing. I think the melody sounds a tad cheesy though, and when you say you're gonna get vocals on it I can't hep imagining something Lasgo'ish or something . Not digging the kick, it stands out a bit too much IMO.

Actually working with a rockier male vocalist.. He has a bit of a raspy voice but very smooth and calming and writes awesome lyrics... We'll see how it comes out hehehe

I think its good actually, cheesy but its not neccesarily a bad thing. I do think the kicks a bit much maybe. The synths are really cool though, love the movement

It'd be cool to add another layer of pads to add more harmony, that might remove a lot of the cheesyness too.
