-- A few Serato questions.
A few Serato questions.
I have been doing a huge amount of searching and reading on this and other forums for information on Serato, yet there are still a few questions that I absolutely cannot find a solid answer to.
1. If I'm running a set in SSL, is it possible to swap to regular CD/vinyl and bypass the software? In other words, am I able to mix both regular and timecoded vinyl/cds?
2. Will any mixer work with SSL? Is there any point in using a 4channel mixer instead of a 2 channel with SSL?
3. Suppose I wanted to add two turntables to an existing CDJ/SSL setup. I've read that SSL only supports 2 decks, so does this mean I can't use both the CDJs and turntables simultaneously? Is there anyway to do this?
I apologize for the amateurish questions, I am completely new using any DVS and creating a thread was my last resort. Thanks.

But, I'll recap them.
1.- YES, you can bypass Serato without having to unplug anything or without having to turnit off. You can mix a regular vinyl/cd with a serato song at the same time. On other words, Serato on one deck, a regular CD/Vinyl on the other.
2.- YES, pretty much almost any mixer works with Serato. There's a point on getting a 4 channel mixer for SSL if you are running CDJ's and your 2 channel mixer only supports CD/PHONO per channel. But if your mixer is like the DJM400 and it Supports CD/PHONO/LINE, than you'll be fine using a 2 channel mixer. If you are using it with Vinyl, you should be fine with a 2 channel mixer.
3.- Yes you can, if you have a 3 or more channel mixer. But, only 2 channels will be Serato, the other ones will be anolog.
