Lryic Question from an UNKLE track

Quick random question....

In the Unkle track - In A State/God Moving Over The Face of the Waters, in the beginning there is a voice saying something that sounds like something from a movie. It goes something like this...

"After 20 years you analyze a lot, you remember people. Many people come up to me and say, had they been there they surely would have died, but that makes no sense. Because until you've been in a situation like that, you have no idea. Confronted by solitude without decadence and a single material thing....." (it goes on)

The voice almost sounds like John Malkovich, but I am pretty sure it isn't. Is this from a movie, or what? I am just very curious to know what it is and where its from.

You are bloody lazy, google "After 20 years you analyze a lot" and hit the first link that pops up.

I'm bloody lazy as well, what film / whatever is this Rabbit in your Headlights quote from?

If you're frightened of dying and then you're holding on
You'll see devils tearing your life away
But, if you've made your peace
Then the devils will be angels
Freeing you from the Earth...

Nah you're an idiot as well, Jacobs Ladder.

From an idiot's point of view, is Jacob's ladder good?

Those who enjoy UNKLE and movie quotes, should get UNKLEsounds - Edit Music For A Film. A mixed journey featuring UNKLE tracks, some other tracks and loads of samples and quotes from the UNKLE guys' fav movies. Also the In A State/God Moving Over The Face Of The Waters mashup is featured in there.

One of the best films ever made. Terrifying and deeply moving at the same time.

Thanks so much for the help, and Redd I did obviously google it first, show me a screen shot of what comes up when you google "after 20 years you analyze a lot" and tell me where you see anything remotely close to what I was looking for... I have never actually seen Alive, but I knew it sounded like something from a "Cast Away" type movie. I am going to look into the UNKLEsounds release.

Well, I guess Redd has the final hand in this one.

I didn't use quotations, I fail....

Posted by Redd on Apr-26-2008 18:28:

At least it's good for something, maybe more than you learned to use them for these kind of searches. Oh wait, most people that ask these questions never read anything before doing it
