Menno De Jong's Podcast - Some Good Music In There, But...

The presentation on Menno's podcast leaves a lot to be desired. He sounds overly sedated, which makes it hillarious to listen to at times. You can't tell if he's been injected with something that's making him overly mellow and numb, or if maybe the podcast is usually recorded at some funeral.

The music though is something I enjoy, and his transitions between records are flawless (the same is true for Menno when he's spinning live in the clubs).

Anyone else here listen to his or other DJs weekly/monthly podcasts? Podcasts by the likes of Tiesto, Gareth Emery, Menno, and Kuffdam really come in handy when I'm working out at the gym.

the best one was his best of 07 podcast, lots of tunes in that one

i regularly listen to tiesto's and menno's... i hear what you're saying about menno's toned-down voice but honestly what difference does it make? i'm in it for the music, hehe.

the pretty good podcasts for me are intution (menno's) sean tyas' and gareth emery's

they should make menno's a weekly show imo

It used to be a weekly show on ETN, but its been changed to a monthly format.

I think hes just trying to sound professional, but it definately comes off as him being a bit too mellow when hes talking... all the same it looks really cool with the pictures as well!

i used to listen to the gareth emery podcast and the beatport burners podcast, but they just got too shit. or maybe my tastes changed. now the only one i listen to is RA Podcast, usually pretty good. Although last week was Count and Sinden, which I'm still a bit iffy on.

I really started appreciating Menno as a DJ when I came across Intuition Radio Show on CrystalClouds one day a few years back, and I haven't looked back since. I think the mellowness of his voice just reflects how relaxed a guy he is, and I appreciate it for sure over Gareth Emery's seemingly insincere overenthusiasm (although I've grown to respect his Podcast a lot recently as well).

It's definitely true that the Intuition Podcast needs to happen more often than once a month, so I hope he'll consider changing the format as more and more people complain. Waiting one month for another mix kills me everytime.

So ........ maybe in Autum we can enjoy more, who knows ? *gg*

........ and yes Im missing the weekly Sets too , but if youre too busy what else can you do ?

Greetings

So they leave alot to be desired and you have beef with the way he talks ? Please list other reasons why you think it has a lot to be desired. Personally I enjoy his podcasts and like how you can fast forward through the tracks and that he lists the titles of each track.
