After the initial hazing I know a lot of people will come out. Listen to his myspace page he has some cool productions. Real songs that crossover.
Would you rather have hip hop instead ? Tiesto remixed Justin Timberlake, Andy Moor remixed Brittany Spears, Blake Jarrell remixed Counting Cars, Fedde Le Grand's "Put your Hands up for detroit" was played by every major DJ out there, and probably by many on this forum. I can go on and on and on.... In the end it is all EDM!!! Relax and just come out to a cool party. There is more energy to hate than to just have a good time.
If this DJ Sammy event helps spread EDM so the next Ronski Speed, Sean Tyas, or JOC event is double packed than it will all be worth it and owe a thanks to DJ Sammy

Not that I'm a Sammy fan, but the funny thing is that he plays the SAME stuff that every trance DJ is playing right now I saw a tracklist of his recently and couldn't believe how similar it was to an ASOT set.... Says something about trance DJs nowadays lol....

Well ASOT has just gone completely down hill. Armin live and ASOT are totally different. I think he knows on his radio show he needs to play the cheese to keep listeners to vote him #1 again. Live shows he can just play what he wants and it's much better.

Is this a joke? Either way, there could be a large amount of people coming to this event mainly because of his mainstream-ness. (Sad)

this thread could be closed before he even gets here. .its gonna get ugly in this thread .i see it as an ends to a means.i dont care who comes as long as it supports more edm artists i wanna see in the future.you do what you gotta do to make that dollar. its the nature of the beast in the era of the superclubs(and in general really).lots of overhead in these places.lot of people with their hand out.i want an underground club to sometimes but overall the more money generated the more artist variety we get to see(hopefully).so do what you got to do to extend that list of edm artists coming to fur. time to bring back m.i.k.e.,scot project, john 00 fleming, and others!!

DJ Sammy?!?! You have got to be KIDDING me.

How much did he PAY YOU to LET him spin?

If the choice was between hip hop and DJ Sammy I think I would stab myself in the eardrums repeatedly.

Fixed BTW...

This thread is great! It demonstrates the maturity level of some of the people on this board. It shows how much in the air people have their nose. It sounds like you have it all figured out. Do what we got to do. Right? You mean like get peoples addresses and drive to their house and pick them up and force them to the club? This is a lot of talk with no real real solid advice. You see it as an ends to a means because you like others on this elitist forum have tunnel vision. Is it more important to keep EDM this private club for only select people or to make it grow? Do you not see a problem with the EDM scene? You obviously do not see the problem with EDM when people do not come out. Therefore it takes more creativity in the bookings. I rather hear DJ Sammy personally than hip hop. His productions are decent. I am not the only one because people will turn out. Thankfully the entire scene does not visit this board but mostly bedroom dj's and song critics.
