Neat function. Great to get in touch with people if need be but at the same time, others can contact you then...

Ok so i think most people have a hate love relationship with facebook .. ya we got it already some love it some hate it some cant mkae up there minds ... but to be honest Facebook chat is pretty decent ... considering it not attacking MSN or AOL or yahoo messenger like myspace IM ... its kind of an inbetween for facebook users ... i kno there are alot of people i have on my facebook not my msn ... so for quick casual chat when 2 ppl are on its decent getting intouch instantly with some one that you havent talked to in a while ...

its basically facebook on crack ...

bascially i think its good, well intresting and can be dangerous ... but no reason to get rid of my book of faces jsut yet

I reluctantly joined Facebook in December 07 and I just feels it further isolates everyone. You have a friends list of over 400 ppl but are maybe only close with 10? It's a good tool for keeping in touch with long distance friends but otherwise it seems like everyone's just vying to be really popular and fill their profiles with as many apps as possible.

The chat thing seems like a good idea. You can see who's online...but I'd probably only talk to not even half of those ppl on my "friends" list.

They should just change the friends list to an "acqaintance" list or "ppl I will only talk to when i'm bored and when I'm online so I don't inconvenience myself" list

We used to have one on IRC. People used to have huge group chats on msn as well. I am glad those stopped because it used to make my computer lag so much!
