Replace WINAMP! With this great new Program!

Ok, just got this program today! Are you fed up with the new winamps, that have fade, eat more cpu and other resources? Well here is the answer for you!
It is called coolplayer! You can download it here:
http://coolplayer.sourceforge.net/
(this is the offical site, they are still working on it, ehe)

It eats minimal resources and has no installation, just run the exe, skin support.....

From another board:
CoolPlayer

overall the sound was very similar to Winamp + MAD as would be expected but there was a slight but noticeable increase in definition and clarity across the entire frequency range. I attribute this to the superiority of the Cooler Wave Mapper that this player uses over Winamp's stock Wave Output Plugin.

here is one skin site,
http://www.wincustomize.com/
I like Deviant Amp myself

Hope this helps all of you that have been disappointed by the new winamp versions released

Well, I use winamp 2.80, and I have no problems with it. My first step was setting back the output plugin to the 'waveout' one, instead of the 'crossfade' plugin, that many of you complained about.
And it eats up about 3-5% of cpu, I think I can afford it.
That's my 2 cents anyways.

i dont know about you but winamp is fine for me, the plugins and the skins are great. long live winamp. it only uses like less than 5% of cpu. if ur trying to spam this aint the place for it

hmm..,yeah i noticed the new xfader directsound plugin on 2.80

...so i reinstalled 2.79, renamed the directsound plugin and then installed 2.80...so now i can still use directsound but have a choice between crossfading or normal playback
