Grand Theft Auto 4!

So who's getting and hyped up?

Got mine on pre-order
16 PLAYER MULTIPLAYER!!!!!

PS. The game was leaked yesterday on the net

PPS. They play Deadmau5 on the Electro Channel

not sure haha...i ordered it at EB Games...

I only put $5.00 down as i wanted it to be on my next credit card bill haha

but i think it was like $65 w/ tax or something like that

LOL, good one. Props to them for putting an electro channel on the radio. Just when I thought their radio couldn't get better.

I honestly didn't even hear about this game until a week ago. There's nothing worse than hearing about a game a year or longer beforehand. All you can do is wonder and wait.

I really played any of the games after GTA1/GTA London religiously. Probably because I never actually had copies of the games for systems I own. My only attempt was getting GTA3/GTA VC loaded onto my modded xbox and they never worked

Sooo behind the times.

Edit: This game probably has the best in game music ever on a console for EDM. The Electro 'choc' channel is pretty awesome...some really dirty beats

the last system I bought was N64 (technically I bought xbox too, but only to played old nes/snes/sega era games)

and my computer isn't built to play games. never has been.

I have GTA2 on my xbox classic. I stopped playing after a couple of hours because I got really frustrated with the lack of save points. Have the newer versions got any better with this? Anyways, I haven't upgraded yet.

GTA4 is actually really good for saves.

You have your safe zone (as in the other newer GTA games). You can save the game by going going to the bed and taking a nap(which is 6 hours of in game time).

Also, the gave automatically creates its own save after you complete a mission, which is new to GTA.

Also which is new, there is an option if you fail a mission, to retry it if you want. In all previous games, if you died, you woke up in the hospital and had to find the mission again. Now, you can automatically restart the mission from the hospital instead of driving to find the mission.

Also what is new, is that you actually have control of a cellphone. You can use the cellphone to call people too. You get an address book that stores phones numbers after they ppl give them to you. You can also receive text messages from your friends and girlfriends and call them back (no, you can't text them back). There is also an organizer on the phone, but i'm not sure how it works.
You can also customize your cellphone ringer (from a pre-selected menu).

The cellphone is also used if you want to play multiplayer. From what I've read, when you start up the game, it automatically launches you into single player mode from the last save. You then have to go to your cellphone and select multiplayer to play anything.

My brother preordered it for PS3 yesterday. It looks like its worth a look, but not anything extraordinary. Maybe I'm just jaded and bored with gaming in general these days
