http://youtube.com/watch?v=1wrtcOWj0Dw&feature=related

I did however enjoy some of the feedback written in the comments section:
"did ur grandma come up with these tunes, not the top 5 i was expectin, not even close, this is bollocks "

"horrible interpretation of trance. 3 songs were eurodance.

what a fucking newb. go download more shit from P2P"

"Yo man, my buddy and I are trippin' balls and we just wanted to say...YOU'RE THE FUCKIN' MAN "

What is with all your threads lately? They didn't use to suck.

Three threads? One dealing with podcasts, one with oldschool Trance, and one dealing with favorite lists. And they suck how?

lol @ the youtube comments

This one is also a hilariously bad list: http://youtube.com/watch?v=HOAKCwqWrJI

I'm mad at sub-par DJ spinnin'this crap @ local venues, making trance-n00bs think that this is the be all end all to trance, while most of it is either not trance or crap trance and totally nothing is great.

This issue is so old I've given up getting annoyed at it. Let them have their shit. Take opportunities to edcuate people in proper dance music whenever you can.

This one's actually legitimate.

i really love the 1998 and xpander songs. to me this is awsome trance. even sandstorm is a great song. even though it was over played and became pop it still shits on stuff being made today. can anybody suggest more songs in the style of 1998 or xpander?

01. Flutlicht - The Fall: a great tune, but I would not call it anthem trance
02. Fire & Ice - Souvenir De Chine: Hands off of this one, please. It's a classic.
03. DJ Toxic - It's Killing Me: Now, this is NOT hard trance. This is cheese. For an approximation of (cheesier) hard trance, see 01
04. Nexus - Next: see 03
05. Roland Kenzo - Listen Feel Enjoy: "Uplifting Trance"? OK, I give up.

The first two tunes are good, then this list just goes down the shitter.

And in regards to the original poster's youtube link - I'm not even going to waste time analyzing it, all of it is shite.

LOL!!!
Please, that's a classic piece?!
This is what i freaking hate about anthem trance, the rape of absolutely good non-trance tracks/songs/compositions.
This has CH33Z3 written all over it.
Anyway, i'm shittin' right on it, also to piss you off for declaring this "hands off".

It's a great track. Try harder.

Fire & Ice's "Souvenir De Chine" is one of my alltime favorites as well.

I freaking hate it, different taste, different opinion.
Giving more flack for the "don't you you dare touch it" comment.
Opinions differ with regards to "classics".

I admit, the production's good, but it came out far too late for me to like it in the wake of the anthem-tsunami.

I don't resort to ad hominem much, but you, sir, are a bandwagon idiot. Especially combined with your "cheese," "rape of non-trance," and "piss you off" comments in the previous post.
