Same thing happened to me last semester in Windsor. I put money in the meter and literally missed it by 3 minutes. I was so mad!! They're ruthless.

Here's a little something to hopefully make you smile ppl.

I do an awful lot of inline skating throughout a week (approx. 70-100km/wk)and have been doing this for the past 3 years.

Well, for the better part of the last 2.5 of those years I have taken to carrrying a little invoice pad (thanks Dollarama!) and writing parking tickets and leaving them under the wipers of these worthless parking enforcement swine.

I would love for you all to do the same, b/c there's nothing that reduces these wannabe pigs to tears faster (and I do mean tears btw) than when you take phone pics of their illegally parked pig-mobiles and then tell them that they have to pay up or you'll send the pic to their superiors, as most of them are far too stupid to realize that you wouldn't actually waste any more of your time than you already have with them. To answer any questions before they're asked: yes, one has paid up ... it was that crazy freak that typically does Avenue Rd just South of the 401.

So please join me in pestering these fools, especially the ones who look like they enjoy their job. I look forward to pics of the tickets, and when I find my old pics (my phone is an old Samsung w/o the usb linkup) that others have received and captured, I'll be sure to post 'em.

Usually I write it out for $20.

But feel free to charge whatever you want.

Also, when I'm talkin to 'em (which isn't all the time, as often I just write it up & then skate off) I usually frame it as this is an internal spot check and that I've been hired as a freelance consultant to provide additional quality assurance as to the actions of enforcement officers.

This is one of the primary reasons why my g/f won't skate w/ me anymore unless it's along the Martin Goodman lakeshore trail lol.

so let me get this straight...
you are mad because you got fined for parking in a place that doesnt allow parking or stopping. the fact that the street you parked on is not busy does not matter. it also doesnt matter if you park for one minute or thirty minutes. you are not supposed to park there, period! laws are laws. if you break them then you pay the consequences.

lol, how about lets instead hate on people that don't know how to park. just go down spadina and check out the best parking skills in the world! seriously, just because there isn't a spot for you to park doesn't mean you have to double park or block the flow of traffic.

small streets don't allow parking for emergency vehicles to go through, do you really want to block a fire truck or ambulance to go through to save some child?

i do understand that people get mad if they park and get a ticket 3 minutes after their time runs out. but seriously, if they keep breaking the rules, the time will just get later and later, so they just follow the rules. i mean, it's easy to figure out how long you will be somewhere or if you realize your time runs out, it's at your own risk.

umm, and also, you may want to stop referring to people you don't like as queers and doing gay things. it comes across very childish.

Ticketing and puzzling parking/traffic restrictions and gouging parking prices (street municpal parking for $4 per hour till midnight on sundays etc) have become an industry in toronto which is why i now avoid downtown like the plague. Id like to know just how many others have stopped bringing their money into the city for the same reasons.

I was going to park at the shoppers/grocery place in front...but then i went somewhere else, scared of being towed....went down 2-3 blocks into the residential area.....well the ******s still got me
