Gianluca Motta feat Molly - Not Alone (Deadmau5 Remix)

Despite the overused 1/8th pattern that at times doesn't seem to work and at times seems to work extremely well in that track... I like it!

as for the thread: By now, that's really the only deadmau5 production I like. It's about as good as the original, which is quite different.

btw. When I first heard the track, I couldn't believe it was Molly singing. She sounded so god-awful on Tracking treasure down

Awesome. Now all producers have to avoid using 1/8th notes in tracks, because they will be labled copiers of Deadmau5. FUCK. Thanks Deadmaus5 for killing a freaking note length and a piece of music theory for us. 1/32 1/16 1/4th 1/2 Full notes ONLY from now on.

Quick, hide our theories!

oh c'mon now, this isn't that bad

IMO best thing ive ever heard from deadmau5 since probably faxing berlin or Contact.

I'm all about piling on deadmau5 when he deserves it but this (the dub anyways, vocals are shit) is a pretty good song

Tiger Stripes remix is pretty good too

Usually, if not most of the time, lables ask artists "hey can you give us a remix in the vein of your ______ track". Deadmau5 for the most part probably has no choice but to give the lables...that he gets work from what they want, and what they want is this 1/8th note formula that is obviously doing well commercially, as much as us hardcores/elite might hate on it, the music has to sell. We all know TA blows things out of proportion, usually for fun, without really caring much about what they are saying.

lol, there are various ways to use 1/8ths in a track. the reason people have been bitching about this whole style is because the bulk of recent producers have been basically creating presets that sound dead on similar to what deadmau5 uses.
