Nice a new Mirco de Govia album. No full tracks as far as i can see.
Samples sound great
crystal clear sounds
sorry....try that
Sounds okay; especially the downtempo ones. Think I'll buy it
I ordered this, more due to Chronoscale (which was brilliant) than what I've heard of MDG more recently.
Upon first listen, it's not a bad album, but if you expect another Chronoscale-level album you will be disappointed.
The downtempo tracks are pretty good, so are the opening few tunes which are melodic breaks.
The more straightforward trance tracks are not too convincing though, and you will notice (like ahp also mentioned) that the previously released tracks have been edited down. Not a bad album at all though.
imo it's really great
Gotta love the breaksy stuff. This is a must-get.
'Catching Light' sounds smoothish!
Will get my hands on this album.
Been listening to the sound samples on the net for a while
Pre-ordered my album and cant wait to get my hands in ut!

Seeping Beauty, Quantum Reign and Catching Light are all fantastic.
Always love De Govia's crisp, clean production style.
is it me or are there way too many downtempo tunes?

It is true that Iconic Path may not be Chronoscale 2.
Most of the tracks are downtempo with only 2 two fast epic tracks:
Vital Spark (140 bpm) & Asarja (137,8 bpm). All the rest is probably under 130.
Chronoscale had a great mixture of mostly downtempo tracks on the first CD and fast tracks on the very impressive but more commercial second CD. Iconic Path is only one CD and is mostly downtempo tracks.
But wowww this CD is great! Beautiful is an euphemism, all tracks gave me a kind of feeling I last experienced when listening to Chicane's "Far From the Maddening Crowds"...
My criticism is that the album begins to loose steam after the one hour bar, that is after track 10.
But I am glad I bought it, and a signed copy on top of that!

Just wanted to bump up this thread...
Iconic Path really deserves more attention on this forum.
brilliant new album! got my signed copy a few days ago.
along with touareg, two of the best trance albums so far in 08
Brilliant album although its more chillout than trance unlike Chronoscale. It seems like Mirco De Govia's stuff will never dissapoint me!
Absolutely fantastic album, I must say. Fragile Symmetry is just ![]()

fantastic album..! yes there are quite many chillout-tracks on it, but so what? i enjoyed every minute of it..
I like this. If you're looking to chill this is good.
Finally snagged this, beautiful album.
edit: Also, was listening to the samples off the Chronoscale EP and that too sounds quality, thinking about picking it up as well.
