Review: Benny Benassi at Guv
Mark Oliver played such a hard opening set, he destroyed the place by the time Benny got on lol, Benny was meh, crowd was PACKED (but thats expected I guess). I never seen the smoking pit so packed ever at guv!
i got a free ticket for any event in may so i dont really care how packed it was (to be expected) i still got my money's worth, and then some!
it was a real difficult decision tonight on what i wanted to do, vonstroke was literally begging for my attention and i wanted to see green velvet again really badly but my friends turned me otherwise.
sorry for any delicate toes i may have stepped on i was quite drunk :P

It was an ok night for me....place was rammed and people were pushy...it was waaaay too hot in there so my friends and i found ourselves going back and forth from the smokin area to the dance floor...i dunno why they didn't cool the place down a lot more then they did....my friend lost her wallet and a bouncer found it..minus money but who gives a shit when all your ID is still in there....
musically, MO of course killed it with the opening set..i actually enjoyed BB....i was expecting cheese from him but was pleasantly surprised by the track selection....left around 4 am..which is early for my crew but i just wasn't feeling it and the sketch factor seemed to be pretty high..especially in the smoking area..or i was just noticing it more last night...
all in all 7/10

BB played like only ONE good track IMO. dont know what its called but it was full of bass. MO was better
mark oliver was sik last nyte best set i've hered from him in a whiles....Benny killed started off with that one track that goes "your either with me or against me" solid opening track to make a statement....great nyte in general, cant wait to see him again......oh and brining down the italia flag was a nice touch benny was luving it lol......
went into this event with low expectations. came out fuckin lovin it.
was planning on checking danny t @ circa on the 18th, but guv has lured me back in lol
gonna be a tough decision come the 18th!

I was really excited to see BB as I'd missed his previous 2 sets.
I have to say I was totally fucking bored... Dunno if I was expecting a "Cooking for Pumpkin" style set or what... I headed back up to the drink and stayed up there all night. Strong was awesome.
