Roger Clemens Self Destruction
...has been more fun to watch than it should be.
Thoughts?
Seems to me like he's getting what he should have known he would.
It just seems clear that neither he, nor his lawyer, really understand that when you file a defamation lawsuit you have to prove that you had a character capable of being defamed in the first place.
i wonder who did more 'roids. Bonds or Clemens...

| Originally posted by RJT At least Bonds (or his attorney) was smart enough to know not to sue someone for defamation. The whole situation with Clemens boggles my mind - his attorney is either a moron or lacks any sense of legal ethics and procedure (i.e. he's just cashing in). |

"that's right roger you're innocent, let's go get them" /ensues laughing all the way to the bank. i can totally see it, and that is completely the smartest thing to do by his lawyer(s). the man has made an insane amount of money, especially lately where he'd come back at the all-star break and pitch like 6 games. why not get some of it out of him. |
Roger Clemens is pretty much learning (again) how karma can be such a bitch
I always liked and respected Clemens and I really wanted to defend him, but since the Senate hearing, the less convinced I am that he's innocent. he should have just swallowed his pride and did what Petitte did; admit, apologise (RETIRE) and then move on. Nobody would care anymore if he did because he was probably one of WHO KNOWS how many players used roids and HGH (the latter of which should be legal anyway if you ask me).
Now this crap about the underage girl, which he denies along with steroids yet again...but then apologises for something he won't specify? Who is this guy's lawyer? How can Clemens be so foolish and naive?
Retarded!
