From Toronto to Dallas...A little help for Friday, May 2nd

Hello Hello,

So I'll be in the Big-D on Friday, May 2nd.

So far, I've got the company prez plannin to take me and few others over to Ghostbar(?). Is this actually worth going to, or should I refocus efforts elsewhere?

Please help me out here folks, as I'm looking to find solid tunes and a great atmosphere for this night.

I know the T.O. TA's (aka TOTA's) will give you a hand whenever you're up here, so help me out guys.

Ghostbar will be OK, but won't be playing EDM. Try Lift Lounge. That is always a pretty good time.

I see some fairly big name bookings there in the events thread, not that I feel like checkin out Starkillers.

You should be able to get in on a Friday at Candle. No harder than it will be at Lift. Lotus would also be a good spot. Suite is the one you will have an issue getting into.

LL is only worth going to if someone is playing. Otherwise, it's like hanging out in a sewer.

Price is not going to be a concern tonight. The most important things are music (prefer electro,bootyfunk,house stylings these evening) and atmosphere.

I mean no offense to the fien people of Dallas when I say this, but if Ghostbar is any indication of the quality of the music in this city, then everyone here is doomed.

Ghostbara was run by a bunch of tone deaf 3 fingered fools, with all the mixing talents of an inbread donkey. What I heard tonight was effectively "shoes in a dryer".

So come to Toronto one and all, and hear what real tunes sound like.

ghost bar does not represent this town as far as music whatsoever. everyone knows that unless there are guest dj's(on thursdays) that the music sucks, all though it is a really nice place. also, where you come from has a far better scene than dallas. been to toronto twice for shows and always reading about it. on the other hand, dallas isn't that bad of a scene, i know of way worse places...*cough, cough* san antonio

Hey its not our fault our scene sucks, its the promoter that killed our scene... And the lack of a support base due to the scenesters that have taken over...

1st response to your thready was Ghostbar won't be playing EDM. You would think that would have meant something.....

Plenty of other places for EDM in Dallas.

You obviously didn't pay attention to my first post. I told you where to go and that Ghostbar doesn't play EDM. Did you not try any place else? Or are you going to base your whole Dallas music experience off of one club?

yea, you should have gone to lift for a NICE environment that plays good music overall.

you know, the living room would have been a good place to check out also. it happens to be 33 floors below the ghostbar.
