Haha, kind of reminded me of the type of stuff that you can come across on Rephlex (The Tuss for example). You have to give him credit though, at least this sounds different from all the other trance proteges.

Kaos trance

Indeed powerful, I'm never going to listen to something of Trance Boss ever again......

Kaos trance

I'm betting he made one of those tracks in the click of a button in Reason.

What a lame and uninspired attempt to recreate the LORD OF BASS awesomeness.

Posted by PETRAN on May-02-2008 13:29:

Wow, "nr1" sounds quite complex, almost freejazztrance...were you pressing random notes in reason?

Wait till you see the guy becoming the new "The Field" and get praised as the next big hot thing coming from the world of electronica...

Makes me think of... (edited):

Originally posted by ColAhh yes, "TranceBoss"!

Being who I am, I found the prospect of hearing a track so full of bass that the hihats are no longer audible utterly arousing, and hence jumped at the chance to download this heavily hyped single, "NR1!!"

The use of upper case letters and the suffix of two exclamation marks had me, quite literally, salivating with anticipation. The image of "TranceBoss" present on the site also caught my glance, and I decided that should there be anyone in the world worthy of carrying such a graceful title, it would be a man with that kind of bold figure and noble facial complexion.

However, I was painfully disappointed at this production. The first thing to jump out at you in this track is the simple breakbeat, consisting of a heavily distorted kick drum and a fairly standard snare. This unbelievably retarded combination of elements reminded me of sitting on the lavatory after a night of drinking.

As the gated sawtooth melody tore its way into the foreground, I began to call my own existence into question. Why am I here? Why am I listening to a host of such ridiculously penetrative noises? Why did I even bother to download an mp3 from someone with the name of "TranceBoss"? As feelings of remorse and even depression began to sweep my insides, I began searching for the nearest sharp instrument.

However, around the 8:10 mark, this track starts to improve dramatically. All the sounds fade to silence, and the listener is presented with 12 blank seconds, presumably which the producer forgot to remove at the end of his piece. This felt almost like making love to a beautiful woman after being whipped with spiked ropes for 8 minutes, and I quickly found myself experiencing a natural high.

To conclude, I would certainly not recommend this production to everyone. In fact, I would not recommend it to anyone. I would actually be very wary of this critically-acclaimed "TranceBoss" and his Amiga 500 music.

He was probably just banging his head against the MIDI keyboard.

This is seriosuly one of the best, IF NOT THE BEST SINGLE RESPONSE IN, at least , Music Discussion. You rarely get a hillarious first post followed by an EVEN better immediate response in the first page... LEGENDARY...

EDIT: Nice Editing...crazy man, this response can perfectly describe this guy as well...lol!

Posted by Neon Sky on May-02-2008 20:32:

DJ Mars is better, imo

Posted by PETRAN on May-02-2008 20:34:

But seriously, if Gui Boratto or The Field came here before they got known/famous/praised, and started a thread with samples from a few of their tracks writting phrases such as "its my new hyped revolutionary style, clit-core" wouldn't you flame them to hell!? I totally believe so, proof that many things are "good" because some people decide to...

(p.s. i personally liked "From Here We Go Sublime" heh)

Posted by StanVoid on May-02-2008 21:54:

Col's response is simply classic
