Tracklist help + flightcase help

Tracklist Question:
Hey people, i might land a gig on the 4th of July on a yacht...
there will be a mix of older people and a few younger people too, i was wondering if anybody has any tips on what to play or anything i should watch for etc...

Flightcase Question:
and i searched the web, but cant find a flight case for my two Denon DN-s1000 CDJs and my 19" DN-x500, its a weird combo so i guess its going to be harder to find and more expensive. any tips on companies or places that would have this or should i just build something?

thanks

I'm presuming you're looking for a coffin case. I don't know of any coffin cases with a 19" mixer section; the largest I've seen are 12", which is usually the size of 4-channel mixers.

What about getting separate cases? Although, the DN-x500 seems to be a rackmount mixer, and if you can't find a case for that, you could build a nice console for it with some sort of cover.

for your tracklist question

no EDM, period... you might be able to squeeze in a few commercial hits and top 40 remixes later on in the evening but it's best to shy away from it, old people are worse than young people when it comes to music, very picky

you'll want to play top 40 and classic hits, music services like promo only (http://www.promoonly.com/) and multi music (http://www.multimusic.ca/) are the the ones i use and will provide you with all the music you'll need and it'll be all legal for public performance which is one thing you need to really take into consideration, my boss has gotten fines before for burnt cds that weren't licensed for public performance, it's not a subject to be taken lightly

in the 7 years i've done mobile shows i've rarely been able to play EDM in the capacity that i do in the club which is fine because i enjoy playing top 40 and classic hits anyway, i grew up on that music

unless of course it's billed as an EDM event, then have at 'er

as for your cases

your best bet is to find separate cases for your gear, a custom coffin will be too expensive and not really worth it, plus with a 19" mixer, it'll be too long and difficult to transport, especially loaded down with gear

thanks for the help, i think i should get a 12" mixer i just dont have the money, i'll just buy myself a vestax mixer or the denon dn-x100, (i have a broken one laying under my bed )

can you still get fined playing music if you use serato? because i have like all the promo only and all those packs but in MP3s on my HD.
