Based on the trailer embedded above, this looks too much like the first movie ... which was average at best.

Beside that, I've always liked XF but I've never watched the last 3 seasons. (I think I haven't missed a lot after hearing some opinions.)

So... should I watch them because of the movie or not?

I really liked the X-Files. Hopefully this won't dissapoint.

I LOVE X-Files, hope this'll be better than the first movie. Well, it was ok, but nuttin compared to the original show.

Me too, however I read an article that had interviews with Carter, Duchovny, and Anderson where it seemed they weren't all that confident in it, which just seemed odd to me.

There's definitely going to be a pretty heavy love story plot line in it which is supposed to make up for the gap between the end of the series and where Mulder and Scully are at now. I just hope it doesn't feel as forced/messy as the end of the series did.

never watched the last season of X-Files.
Did Dogget die, without ever having a chance to come back, in the case of an extra season, or a movie?

Posted by daydreamer on May-05-2008 02:04:

is it just me or would anyone else 'do' Agent Scully.

i don't know why, but back then (when i used to watch the show) i would be like, 'yeah, i'd do her.'

in the first season she was fat and fugly, but then she kept getting better....

Posted by tubularbills on May-05-2008 02:06:

when i was a kid, i would shock my friends, when they asked me who i'd like to marry/fuck, and i'd say "anderson", they're like "oh yeah, pamela.." and im "...no. gillian" i'd get the looks

so fucking excited!!!! i dont think they have a choice but to deliver a great movie, especially after so many years of delays. will be there... the night after premier=)

It won't be as epic as the episode Ice (http://www.tv.com/the-x-files/ice/e...98/summary.html), but hopefuly it's still entertaining.

My girlfriend and I have been working on watching them all before the movie comes out.

Episode "HOME" was one of the best episodes in the whole series...and it had nothing to do w/ aliens, hehe.

i've got seasons 1-6 on DVD...watched them all on and off again when i first moved down here...it had been about 4 years since the show ended...and i had forgotten sooooooooooooooooo much about the conspiracy.

goddamn what a great show

This one was very cool indeed. I remember a thread here where everybody was listing their favorite episode.

Ugggh, I hated that episode (not because I thought it sucked - it was just so fucking disturbing).

which is why it was so great!

Does anyone else think that humor episodes were way better than the "conspiracy" ones?

Not for me. I don't do gore or horror - just not my thing.

I don't think they're better per se, but they were awesome. The one in Black & White with the monster who ate peanut butter sandwiches was definitely one of my all time favorite episodes.
