congrats:DJ Slantzz (Ryan Tyas)-Ran 1/2 Marathon
Nice Job for Ryan Tyas on Running the Long Island 1/2 Marathon on Sunday. He ran so fast, I missed him at the finish line.....I think to run 13 miles is pretty impressive...
Race Routes
The 2008 LI Marathon & 1/2 Marathon takes participants past landmarks like the Nassau Coliseum & Museum Row before heading north through the Village of Westbury, onto the Wantagh Pkwy to finish inside Eisenhower Park.
Wow, well done bro! What was the official time?
Ryan Tyas as Barry Allen in... The Flash!
Woah Ryan!
That is insane. I can't run around a block. Congrats dude.

Thanks Ed!!!
My official time was 1:42:34. Finished as #341 of over 3,000 half-marathoners. Boy is my body hurtin today though hahaha...I'm walking like I just spent a long weekend with the cast of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy !!!
good shit thats rediculous ... you should pull for first next year haha
I never understood people who liked long distance running. I find no pleasure in it and always found ways to cheat when I had to do it for various sports teams.
awesome stuff though man! Thats quite an accomplishment. Now when are you running the full marathon?!

| Originally posted by DJslantzz I trained for about 2 months running at least 5 days a week. I still did drink alcohol on the weekends excluding the last couple weeks. I was talking with a couple full marathoners and they said they suggested training at least 2-3 months and giving up all alcohol as well as keeping a good diet for about 2 months prior to the race to run a good time (not just finishing the race). |
Congrats!!!! There's a really good half-marathon on Columbus Day down the Jersey Shore and I was thinking of training for it... Not sure though, but this gives me some push to do it haha... Not sure though.
Rocky vs. Gump (Ryan Tyas Mashup)
that's so cool. i really give alotta credit to people who run. i only do it when i'm so stressed out and/or anger that i think i'm gonna go nuts if i dont get all that energy outta me fast enough!
