Yamaha CS6 + PLG AN1x board

Hey all,

I was thinking of picking up one of these units 2nd hand, it's a cs6r and putting in the plg an board. Anyone used one, have any thoughts on it?

Would it be a better investment than say a Supernova?

I owned a CS6r, the rack version of the CS6x. It's a fun synths. Somewhat dated sounds on there though.

Well, you should be able to get it fairly cheaply. 3 weeks ago one sold on eBay in Australia for $A333. Add the Vengeance soundset for the AN1X expansion board and you could well get your money's worth. But I haven't tried one...from the Vengeance demo and general reviews I get the impression it wouldn't be a "main" synth, but potentially quite handy for adding in extra character to a song. I'm being a bit more picky with my purchases these days, I already have a nice collection of quality synths. I just bought a Waldorf Pulse, that should get to me in the next week or so. I heard the Vengeance demo of that and immediately got the impression I'll be able to make extensive use of it. New toys are fun!
