Between the Lines promo: Rob Turner is feelin' Frisky [May 7th 2008]

Massive thanks to Tom, Adam, Seneca, Clovis, Bas, Tony, Sushi, Bobby, Mathias, Jeff, and anyone else who helped me put this together, offered me criticism when I've needed it, or just inspired me to keep playing the music I like regardless of whether it's old or new, borrowed or blue, or if it's just total shit cheese.
And of course a very special thanks to Myra for both the artwork and putting up with how self involved I get when I work on projects like this.

I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

PST - that's not even a real time zone, you're making it up. (we Brits only have to deal with one so your whole "4 for one country" situation just confuses us
)
I love it how Venezuela decided to make their own time zone last year, just to be different... GMT-4:30, takes the piss. You're supposed to use even hours from GMT for a reason - cos London's the centre of the universe. We invented the 12 hour clock (actually it was India, but we conquered them in the 1800s so we can claim their history as our own if we jolly well want to).
Anyway, back on topic, downloading
i'm gonna stop listening after the deadmau5 track

still loving the first 10 minutes very much.
oh yeah, and the rest is good too
That mau5 track still bugs the shit out of me.
More than a Radio Slave tune makes RJT's bowels shift...

I've actually gotten more ipod mileage out of this one than your other two Spring promos. The section from MFA track to MFA track is really great, and I love some of the TA productions at the beginning.
Again, great stuff. ![]()
i'm kinda bummed that you got to use one of Tom's tracks in a set before i did... that was my whole goal after i was hyping his first few productions all last summer and fall like a crazed fangirl.
(guess that's what i get for being lazy/indecisive
)
only listened to this when you've had it playing at home, but it's good stuff. Miles ftw.

| Originally posted by RJT I don't think it was, nor am I convinced you (or many others) would have trainspotted it. We'll obviously never know now, but it's easily one of his least popular tunes, and it sounds almost nothing like anything else he's put out. |

| Originally posted by RJT Fair enough, but I really don't think many people would have called it out as a Deadmau5 tune (even given all his hype, Beatport awards, and how influential and forward thinking he is ) had it not been tracklisted as such, and genuinely think there might have been some surprising reactions if I hadn't tracklisted it.And I knew the moment it went in there that there'd be at least one discussion like this that occurred in this thread. |

its not your best, but it was an entertaining listen minus a few tracks i can't stand. Congrats on the show, i'll tune in when possimable.
As I've said everywhere else, the mix is pure bliss until you threw Secondary Complications in there. I recognized it right off and went
Miles is one of my favorite tracks since hearing it. Thanks.
Congrats on the show Rob
I'll download this as soon as I get home
Thanks boss
And what I
at is how many people absolutely hate "Secondary Complications."
Taste is taste, so I understand - believe me. It's just odd to me that it sounds like a lot (and I mean a LOT) of other techy stuff out there right now, yet people are just disgusted by it for some reason.
Clovis - you even said in the initial review you sent me that the only thing that bothered you about it was that it was a Deadmau5 track and that you just didn't want to support anything he does anymore
I feel like I shot myself in the foot just for using a tune by a producer who everyone here seems to agree that they hate.
