Adoption.
If you were adopted, would you want to know?
If you knew, would you want to meet your birth parents?
If you adopted a child, how would you feel about the birth mother trying to contact you?
If you gave up a child, would you want to contact him or her when they reached adulthood?
Any other thoughts on adoption?

Was that grammar on purpose
And I really can't think about it, because I've got nothing to relate it to me.

Nevermind. I misread it. What I saw was "Can't think of nothing worse" and I almost exploded.

Highly dependent on the situation.

Yeah, I am.
My brother wanted to meet his biological parents, and I think he expected something glamorous. He didnt really get what he was expecting and I think he was disappointed.
Im quite happy in my current situation and have no need to meet my biological parents. She was 14 and he was 18. It was obviously a hard time for her, and quite possibly could be something she has tried to forget. I dont want to add that kind of stress to my life, and I wouldnt wish that on her, either.
The "should you tell your children" thing... god. Yes. My mom has worked in adoption all her life. I know other kids who were. I can tell you right now, if you keep it from your children, theyre going to find out. And when they do, its going to fuck their lives up. Tell them early and often. Make it a part of their lives. I can honestly NOT remember the first time I was told that I was adopted, because my mom told me when I was very young, and I grew up understanding what it meant. Best thing my parents could have done for me.

Yes.
Fine. Biological mother has the right to see the child she birthed. Not to mention that I would want my child to have a relationship with her.
I would never give up a child... ever. However, if for some crazy bizarro world reason I did, yes, I would try to contact them.
I don't think highly of people who put their children up for adoption... to put it lightly.

This is a dumb view to have. I am not a child of adoption, but there are many cases where adoption should be the first thought after abortion (if you agree with it). There are so many couples out there that can't have kids, and would LOVE to adopt a baby that their mother is in no way, shape, or form able to care for a child at that moment in time. Not everyone has family that can take on that responsibility. I don't think that people should be taking the risk of getting pregnant, but this is a much better alternative to a kid having a horribly shit life or being a criminal. Or even potentially abused. I can tell you, that people don't take lightly to giving up their child, but it is usually the smarter decision for them at the time.

I don't think it should be allowed to go passed abortion. If you have no intention of keeping it, stop the pregnancy.
Sorry, I know my opinion is harsh.
*waits to be hated on*

While I don't disagree, not everyone agrees with abortion. You must consider that.

But, that doesn't mean that you should think very low of people that do choose adoption. While they should take the many precautions before it happens, shit happens. People make mistakes. I am personally a fan of adoption, but I think that people are fucking idiots.

Well... I think that being opposed to abortion isn't entirely logical (just my opinion... if you feel that it is logical, good for you). Not being logical, accompanied with being irresponsible makes it hard not to think poorly of them.
I am sure there are a lot of people who have put their children up for adoption that weren't entirely bad people. However, I highly doubt that they make up the majority, and therefore, my general opinion regarding those people is not a particularly good one.
EDIT:
I made the "assumption" that they are irresponsible because...
- they managed to get pregnant when they didn't mean to (yes, I know accidents happen so not all of them fit into this bullet point, however I would hazard a guess that a very high number of them do.)
- they are not capable of taking care of a child (Pretty sure this applies to all people who give up their kids for adoption. Why else would you do it? *Open to suggestions*)
For some reason I got this inkling that someone would get bitchy about my usage of that word.
