80s!!

aloha2u

I need to make a mock 80s commercial for class, and I think I've got the technical side to how they did things back then down, but I need MEGA 80s ideas! I'm going to market a hairspray/cologne, put some lifelike music, and figure out something super cheesy.

Anyone have any bogacious ideas

You need shoulder pads and huge hair... think Dallas or Dynasty

Unfortunately I live in Windsor....so unless you want to drive 3 1/2 hours down here then probably not. Hahaha

What are the details of the shoot?

for a hairspray commercial from the 80's my bodacious idea would be:

have a woman in a mercedes 380SL with the big sunglasses, and you know those kinda scarfs women would wear on their head? (not a hood, i dont know what to call it, i guess its a scarf) but have that blow away, camera from a distance behind the car watches it blow away, it goes back to her, closeup as she smiles, her hair obviously intact, couple really quick driving scenes, quickly to one, then another from a differnet angle, and quickly to another, then have her show up to some really nice event, always focusing close up on her and her hair, she walks through the door, greeted by a friend who says "oh hello [insert name]! my your hair looks wonderful!" fade out, Brand name, and product, done.

perhaps creative, perhaps its been done, perhaps its cliche and totally blows, but don't grill me for it, just throwing the idea out there. Hope that stir up your creativity.

of course, this would probably cost a lot of money !

How about something along the lines of the 80s fitness public service announcements they had? I can't remember the name of those for the life of me!

Extra sharp cheddar cheese 80s public service announcements ftw!!!

Yes!! Body Break...it was started in 1988 and ran through the early 90s

either way an 80s public service announcement would be awesome!
