Wtf is Evoke??

Curious... is it something with Liquified? These same two girls have tried to add me to Facebook 76987695986596 and a half times but always avoid the "the fuck are you???" question. They're in the Liquified and Swerve groups, though, and always spam the same events.

Anyone know? And if you ladies are floating around on here, kindly tell me if I actually know you before you send me another million requests.

They do it to me too and I've barely been to any shows in Atlanta. I have no idea who they are or what Evoke is.

Evoke is Andrea Restrepo. She works hand in hand with Liquified to put on Swerve and a few other events around town such as the Poplife events. She's always been really cool towards me. Don't get so paranoid

I wasn't really bashing them or anything, just had no clue who they were and I kept getting random adds and invites through Facebook.

w0rd, but seriously she's cool. Kind of um... cute too

Same here. That does get annoying real quick. They must have multiple facebook alias accounts because I set them to permanently ignore, and yet, i still get requests at least once or twice a week.

Don't get me wrong, I know you have to blast out a million messages to promote and what not, but after a while no means no!

It's also pretty useless to go through the Liquified facebook group and add all those people so you can send them mail about events they already know about. Brilliant!

Well... I myself, and I've been told at least two other folks I know have been reporting the profiles as spam (since they never answered any questions I sent asking who they were and what exactly they were), so it could be that they have to make new ones. *shrugs* I dunno.

They definitely do keep making new profiles. Lucky for me, Andrea and her "evoke" friends don't ask to be my friend or email me AT ALL after this nice Facebook conversation I had with Andrea in February... enjoy:






Moral of the story (apparently): Tell her to please leave you alone and she will stop bugging you.

She's trying to promote, not annoy anyone. Unfortunately they fall in the same category sometimes

No doubt. I'm simply not a fan of the "throw everything at the wall and see what sticks" school of marketing. This whole thing just reeks of those Ci@li$ and V!@gra spam campaigns.

A little effort can go a long way toward not frustrating your target audience.

I got a text message promoting the Armin party. Wtf?

I am so glad i dont get text... me mum gets them all the time for parties at compound or used to.

gives me lulz every time.

She is just trying to do her job. She's a cool chick so... give her a chance.

Yeah, I got a facebook request from Andrea. Was wondering who that cute girl trying to add me as a friend was. I assumed we had similar tastes in music. I messaged her and she explained herself. Seemed nice.
I didn't really need the text last thursday telling me about the Armin show or the facebook messages about events though.

I'm getting texts from Liquified. I'm not really bothered by it that much. The text says reply "Stop" to it and I'll be removed from the list.

In regards to Liquified texts. We used to have a text service we used that was opt in for people to get discounts on the door into our nights. We quit using it due to the fact that we wern't doing a weekly anymore. Now that we have a weekly event going we have started using it again with a new SMS Provider. The numbers have been opted in from before and its very easy to opt out with a simple "stop" reply. We used it for Armin so the people who did not want to be on it anymore could opt out very easy. Right now we are running a contest with it for people to win VIP Tiesto tickets. We will also only send out 1 txt each week (Friday evenings) that will usually have an offer for discounts on the door at Swerve. You will not get bombarded with 50 million txts from us.
